Tasting characteristics: Each rum of the Diplomatico Distillery Collection series showcases one of the different distillation methods used in the production of its blends. This limited edition series allows spirit enthusiasts to experience the pure essence of the different forms of Diplomatico. The Pot Still method uses Diplomatico No3 Pot Still from the special distillation series first used in 1959 at Diplomatico's distillery. It is a distillation system first used in Scotland for whiskey production. The rum matures in small American oak barrels. The depth of the golden color is accompanied by a complex aromatic nose combining red and tropical fruits with candied caramel and vanilla. On the palate, it is perfectly balanced and well-structured, with woody notes combined with hints of coffee and chocolate.
