    We wanted a new kettle for the office because the previous one was plastic and smelled. I ordered this one because it had a small capacity and looked nice.
    I was almost certain that the kettle was metallic when I ordered it, but it turns out it's not. I didn't notice that in the characteristics dropdown it says that the material is plastic.
    Similar to the (much) cheaper previous kettle, it smells like plastic when boiling.
    It says it doesn't catch salt on the heating element, but I wouldn't say that. With the first boil (using bottled water) it has already left marks.
    I would prefer glass or metallic kettles.
