In the northwestern corner of the Greek map, in the heart of the region of Florina, there lies a unique vineyard. The vineyard of the four lakes is surrounded by lakes Zazari, Cheimaditida, Petron, and Vegoritida. The vineyard of the four lakes constitutes the most important part of the designation of origin zone Amyntaio of Superior Quality. It is the highest-altitude vineyard in Greece and the largest vineyard in Macedonia. Its area reaches 8,500 stremmas.
Among these lakes, in the location of Agios Panteleimonas, lies the Vegoritis Winery. The winery began its journey through time in 2005. Its creator, Christos Boskos, an experienced winemaker, has a very specific philosophy: to create quality wine with the best price-quality ratio and for a wide range of prices. The methods used in cultivation and winemaking are also empirical and traditional but are combined with new techniques.
