The formula is free from parabens, glycerin, and propylene glycol, which are commonly found in conventional lubricants. Parabens and propylene glycol are known irritants that can cause unwanted reactions in many women. Glycerin is a sugar alcohol that provides a favorable environment for Candida albicans, the most common fungus responsible for vaginal yeast infections.

Swede has lowered the pH value to 4.5, which is the average pH value of the vagina. The formula is safe for condoms and can be used with all sex toys.
