I have not been satisfied with this or any other electronic thermometer I have purchased so far. I have the impression that they all show a lower temperature than normal. I still have a conventional mercury thermometer, and it always shows 1 to 1.5 degrees higher than what the electronic ones show.

Initially, it takes a lot of batteries for a thermometer. Secondly, after 6 months, you measure a regular person and it shows 34 degrees, it is not accurate.

It's made of plastic (logical for its price) but it does what you want quickly and easily.
Compared to the mercury one, while that showed 37.6, the DT8826 showed 37.7, continuing the measurement with the third consecutive time it showed the correct 37.6. If you're okay with that, you can get it.
Anyway, whoever has searched will see that there are plenty of digital thermometers out there at ten times the price and they show more or less the same... for those who want something cheap, it is highly recommended... but let's not fool ourselves, the mercury one is the only safe solution...

Well, its measurements are... completely different from what they claim and the milk it produces is... in other words, a waste of money.

For the money, there is no discussion. You do a proper calibration based on a good analog or digital thermometer and you're good to go. In the forehead area, 2 centimeters and 3-4 taps, and also in the wrist area. That's it! And if it breaks, I won't cry about it.

Once I had a fever. I aimed it at the forehead and it showed 36.5. Then I put a mercury thermometer in my armpit and it showed 37.9. I don't trust it.

I can't say that this particular product has great accuracy in its measurements, both compared to other armpit thermometers I have in my possession and especially when performing consecutive temperature measurements of the same person (there are deviations that reach up to 0.3 - 0.4 degrees Celsius after consecutive measurements of the same body part).
However, even with this deviation, this specific product is very useful for checking, for example, if a small child has a fever while sleeping.
Otherwise, it is a reliable product, with good value for money, good build quality, ease and speed in measurements, screen illumination, and an additional function for measuring object temperatures up to 100 degrees Celsius.

I may have come across a defective one, but as you can see from the picture, it completely misreads in comparison to mercury. No matter what I measured, it showed close to 36. The construction is simple and classic Chinese. I bought it based on the reviews I saw, but it is not worth it based on the measurements I made.

The only thing it does is to let you know if you have a fever or not. Now, how high your temperature is exactly, it doesn't know. For a fever of 38.5, the indications are from 37 to 37.8

All these thermometers have a deviation that is indicated on the packaging. It is not a defect. As long as someone identifies it, then everything is fine. I found it to be around -0.3 to -0.4. That is, I subtract it from the measurement.

No accuracy. I bought it mainly because of the good reviews and to try something different that wouldn't bother the baby with the classic ones, which he doesn't easily accept using. In a baby with a fever of 39 degrees, it showed 37.2! Dangerously faulty machine. Especially if it concerns very young children who don't understand or can't tell you exactly how they feel. Completely unreliable. The best, as the pharmacist told us, are the classic ones. Mercury ones. So, from now on, I will only trust those.

I put new Varta batteries and it shows low indication... practically useless. And it's non-refundable! Stay away!!! Waste of money!!! P.S. Luckily, Scroutz took over and there will be a replacement!!! On 28/2, the new one arrived and it works. Let's see how long it will last...

I was reading reviews for thermometers of this kind and I had many reservations. We bought this one for testing, which is also affordable, and it solved our problems! In about six months, we have no complaints and any deviation in the measurements is negligible. We measure the temperature in milk, in the bath, and even on the walls, and we observe the consistency of the thermostat of the radiator! The instructions in Greek are a bit confusing, but the menu is very simple.

For an elderly person, it was purchased, very easy to use, one click with a large button, and it immediately counts. Then it turns off by itself. The measurement is as expected, sometimes it can be affected by the room temperature, but it does the job for daily monitoring. The only observation is that it constantly shows low battery from the beginning. The price is good. I was very satisfied overall.
