Goat Giouvetsi
Ingredients:
- 500g. Organic Kritharaki 'HLIOS'
- Approximately 1200g of goat leg
- 6 ripe tomatoes
- 160g butter
- 1 cup grated Kefalotyri cheese
- 6 cups of warm water
- Salt, pepper
We wash the meat well and season it with salt and pepper. We peel the tomatoes and blend them in a blender. We place the meat in a baking dish, add the butter and 1/3 of the tomato puree. We bake well in a medium oven, then remove it from the baking dish and keep it warm. We add the remaining tomato puree and hot water, and once it boils, we add the kritharaki, stirring it with a fork so it doesn't stick, add some salt and pepper, and let it simmer. We serve it sprinkled with grated cheese and the meat cut into portions.
