I have tried it with ground coffee as well as with capsules.
This particular machine makes the best coffee with its own capsule.
I recommend Galleria capsule

It is the closest in taste to coffee from beans, from what I have tried.

As for quantity, the espresso dose seems small to me, I usually make two doses to drink a Freddo, so for me the 100-pack (33 euros) is more like 50 coffees rather than 100.
With 0.33 x 2 coming to about 0.66 euros per coffee.
Nowadays, with the prices that some instant coffees have reached (see Azera), I don't see the reason not to switch to capsules.

Apart from the initial cost of the machine, in the long run the coffee itself won't have a big difference in cost, while it will have a huge difference in quality and taste.

I was very satisfied with this particular choice. Good construction, good coffee, elegant, not too bulky, easy to clean. Good quality and price ratio. I recommend it!

Amazing machine. I have gone through several coffee machines, simple ones, with a grinder, with capsules, automatic, you name it. I was looking for a simple machine for the office, without too many bells and whistles. This one produces amazing coffee, probably better than many coffee shops. Fast, easy, clean, and economical. The capsule is value for money. One of the cheapest on the market that produces such good coffee.

Update about 3 months later..
The machine is incredible, the coffee it produces is possibly the best in capsule coffee. After hundreds of coffees, it maintains a consistent quality, it has never gotten stuck (a common problem with machines I had for Nespresso). Simple and easy maintenance - cleaning.

I'm thinking of putting aside the machine I have with a grinder and whole beans at home and getting another one like this.

I had it in the military. I made about 30 to 40 Fredo Espresso every day. I never had a problem. I cleaned it about once a week. I emptied 2 to 3 containers only with water + a cleaner that we put inside the container!!!
It has a sturdy construction and heats up quickly when you want to drink coffee.

If you know how to make fredo espresso in combination with a good capsule, you won't miss anything from the delivery!!!
I recommend it for home use or for the office in order to serve yourself and your loved ones immediately!

The café is worth 100% of its money, it makes perfect espresso in a small dose or as much as you want by pressing the large button. Coffee just like in good cafes
