It is somewhat... "roughly made". Anyone who has handled a "quality" caliper will immediately see that this is a lower-grade one. It is obvious that various parts of it have been shaped with a grinder (instead of, for example, CNC or a lathe), and even the vernier scale does not have uniform graduations (there is one gap that is noticeably larger than the others). So for accuracy of 0.02 mm I would not trust it at all. For me, who just wants to see whether something is 5 or 6 mm, it does the job just fine, and if I drop it, I won't be crying over it.

  • For its price, the analog caliper is decent. It is stiff to open. With a little WD-40, it smooths out.
Update: I cut one star because it jammed and I had to take it apart to fix it. Luckily, I had watchmaker screwdrivers.
