For everyday use, as long as you know what you're getting, it's a good choice.
However, before you buy it, keep in mind that during large or continuous file transfers, its speed drops noticeably: it starts at around 500 MB/s and after a few seconds drops to about 150 MB/s. The drive has a small cache which fills up quickly, and then it writes directly to its main memory, which is slower.
For operating system, programs, multimedia, or general use, it's just fine. But if you need something for continuous writing (video editing, scratch disk, etc.), it's better to go for the corresponding EVO or another TLC SSD.

It was used to replace the HDD in the PlayStation 4 in order to expand the capacity and reduce loading times. I can say that I have indeed seen various improvements, and the loading times of the games have noticeably decreased. For use in a computer, I have no opinion; it seems durable over time and with prolonged use, but I believe that the Evo is a better choice in these cases.

It's good, not something special. It was purchased for an old laptop and indeed made a huge difference. Compared to an m2, it crawls, but it's very good in its category.

Very cheap for its quality, it has 2880TBW for the 8TB, very high compared to others in the price category and it also has 8GB DDR cache. At €450, there is no better option for an 8TB SATA SSD. When transferring large files, for the first 120GB it writes at full speed, then it drops to 170MB/s (The transfer was made from a U.2 PCI-e3x4 SSD to the 870QVO, on a machine with 2x Xeon Silver 4114 and 64GB RAM in a Windows Server 2022 and TrueNAS Scale v24 environment)

It was put in the ps4 pro, it seems worth it and from what I see its price has increased significantly... it no longer lags in your hands, it looks nice and with the passage of time it will show if it can handle it... we will see. However, for the use I got it, it is said to be the best.

It is used for backup as an external hard drive... Its performance in terms of speed and stability is exemplary.

Bought the 2TB version in March '23. Absolutely satisfied with the Read-Write performance, but it tends to heat up for my data. Specifically, after running chkdsk (note that it is the disk that hosts my game library and is almost full), it reached 47 degrees Celsius, a temperature it maintained for quite some time until the chkdsk was completed

I have had it on my desktop for several years, now I also got one for my mom's laptop that her own broke. The most reliable thing. Value for money.

So far, I've had it for 2 months and it's perfect. I got 2 TB to have all the games I play on my PC and to have space for future ones. Samsung SSD is the way to go if you want top quality.

I have put around 1TB of files on it and it has a read/write speed of about 550MB/s. It also has the Samsung magician which helps a bit with disk monitoring. Overall, a very good product.

He is the best with his money. The Samsung program for their SSDs is also top-notch. It's incredibly easy to even clone your old disk onto your new one. And it works perfectly.

I bought it to upgrade the capacity on my laptop. It's a bit faster than my old disk, so I made it the primary one and put the old one as a secondary disk (in the dvd bay).

It is QVO, meaning it uses 4 bits per cell. This has several consequences:
Shorter lifespan
Poor performance in writes and reads
Hence the 3-year warranty compared to the EVO which offers 5.

I have installed it on an 8-year-old Sony Vaio laptop that was dragging with a 2.5 Hitachi HDD. At first, I was hesitant about the performance because my laptop was old, but the difference is huge. It opens in seconds and does everything much faster. It's worth it.

Super disk! Very fast at login, of course quiet and with no problems in general. It's the second one I've purchased.

I have been using it for personal use for many years and it is very fast without any problems. One very positive aspect is the program it provides for transferring the Windows installation from the old disk to the new one seamlessly.
