Description

Adult Oximetry Sensor Nonin 8000SL. The Nonin 8000 Soft Sensors (SL, SM & SS) series multi-use sensors offer absolute flexibility for monitoring SpO2, whether a spot check is required or continuous monitoring. The specially designed Soft Sensors provide patient comfort, delivering optimal pressure distribution on the finger and three models to accommodate all ages.

The PureLight® technology combined with Nonin PureSAT® signal processing delivers consistent and stable results from patient to patient, even under the most adverse conditions such as movement or low perfusion.

  • Adult Sensor 8000SL: Finger thickness 12.5 to 25.5 mm
  • Child Sensor 8000SM: Finger thickness 10 to 19 mm
  • Infant Sensor 8000SS: Finger thickness 7.5 to 12.5 mm

Available with a one (1m) or three (3m) meter cable. Accurate and reliable SpO2 measurements start with PureLight® sensors. Nonin's PureLight oximetry sensors produce a high-intensity spectrum of pure light, which eliminates variations in measurements from patient to patient and from sensor to sensor.

The sources of red and infrared light (LEDs) are essential in pulse oximeter sensors. The red LED measures deoxygenated hemoglobin, while the infrared LED measures oxygenated hemoglobin. LED contamination affects the calibration curve of the oximeter, impacting the oximetry levels, resulting in inaccurate measurements at levels below 80%.
