Description

Discover the crystal-clear purity and vibrancy of the Isle of Arran through the distillery's "flagship." The Arran 10 Years Old is an authentic, independent single malt that impresses not with smoke, but with incredible freshness, fruitiness, and its sea breeze character.

Why Arran 10 Will Become Your New "Go-To":

  • Unadulterated Character: Bottled at 46% alcohol, without chill filtration and with its natural color. This means that every drop carries all the richness and oils of the distillate, offering a rich, "oily" texture in the mouth.
  • The Freshness of the Island: Forget the heavy smoke. Here, flowers, freshly cut grass, and green fruits dominate. It’s a whisky that resembles the elegance of the Lowlands, but has the soul of an Island malt.
  • Crisp & Delicious Flavor: Maturation in selected casks gives notes of sweet butter biscuits, vanilla, and honey, perfectly balanced with a gentle sea saltiness.
  • The Choice of the "Sophisticated" Enthusiast: Despite the "young" age of the distillery (since 1995), Arran’s 10-year-old is considered one of the most honest and high-quality single malts on the market, ideal for those seeking a pure, natural profile.

Your Flavorful Journey:

  • Nose: An explosion of freshness. Green apple, pear, vanilla, and caramel, with a delicate hint of sea air.
  • Palate: Rounded and "crisp". Flavors of ripe fruits, sweet biscuits, honey, and a creamy sensation of nuts.
  • Finish: Long and delicate. The malt blends with citrus fruits and a light spicy "tingle" that leaves you with a wonderful warmth.

At 40-44 euros that you find these days, it is one of the most serious 10-year single malts and outperforms more expensive ones. Smooth with aromas like honey, vanilla, biscuit, and butter.

Amazing malt. It gives you a nice taste of orange and lemon, strong at 46 but definitely not burning at all. Always neat to understand its full intensity. I would definitely buy it again. I recommend it with closed eyes.

Value for money. Unreservedly. 46 but it doesn't burn with a nice aroma and sweet aftertaste. Now, as for vanillas, strawberries, caramels, I can't tell you. Very nice

Sorry for those who consider this whiskey good, in my opinion it is simply a strong whiskey, you can tell it's a malt in the taste, however, it lacks any character. It is 45.8% abv, it has some notes of vanilla, sherry, but its strong flavor overpowers everything. With a couple of teaspoons of water, it softens quite a bit and you can taste the flavors that are hidden underneath, but they are still hidden. It used to cost 37 euros a year and a half ago, which was somewhat reasonable, now it goes up to 45-50 and it makes no sense. Also, it has absolutely no resemblance to Islay in terms of taste, it has no smoke. It is between 2 and 3 stars for me, but it gets 2 stars because of the price and because it says Islay on it without being "Islay".

Excellent for its price. Neither too smoky nor too harsh. A whiskey that every single malt lover needs to have, at least as a reference point for all the others. No chill filtration, no caramel coloring. Integrity and quality in simplicity.

Strong but soft at the same time, at first you think it's good but slowly it wins you over. I believe that with water and a few ice cubes, all the flavors emerge and it becomes even better. In the end, very good

Do not expect it to blow your mind, it is a very nice and quality daily drink that is worth it for the money. Also, it is true that the taste changes and improves as the bottle goes down. I recommend it.

UPDATE: I am raising the rating to 5 stars because this drink is made with very high standards. It has enough complexity in its taste for its 10 years and 46% alcohol content enhances everything even more. A few drops of water will unfold its floral notes even more. However, be careful with its price, which should not exceed 45 euros.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed. It felt like I was drinking a regular blended whiskey. Without any identity, you can't even call it sweet or smoky. Honestly, I don't want to say much more and confuse you further.

The Batzanas had me interested and I was craving it for a while. No one had bought it until we needed new glasses and I found a set with the Arran. I hit the set with the glasses (excellent glasses) and the whiskey came along. The Batzas has not tried it, so I will give my opinion. First of all, amazing bottle. Natural shiny color and 46% whiskey. You get 6% more than the common 40%. That's good.

For me, the smell is orange and hazelnuts. It reminds me of dried nuts. Sweet taste that fills the palate with a moderate finish. I really enjoyed it, and my wife enjoys it without complaint. I recommend it.

From the top whiskies at these prices. Stronger than the others in both alcohol and aroma/taste.
You feel it immediately on the palate and it hits quickly.
