Let me write the first review for this particular brush cutter since I recently acquired it. But before I mention it, let me tell you that I used to own a Chinese one. However, lately it was breaking down and it was no longer economical; moreover, it consumed a lot of gasoline. So I got the TLE 48 Mitsubishi because it is professional and made in Japan, to clear 12 stremmas with olive trees. Compared to the previous one, it was like night and day. Its price was 315 euros. During use I found that it is powerful and cuts easily without straining. It has a heavy sound while working that makes you feel it is a sturdy machine. The fuel it burns is minimal, in eight hours 2.5 liters with a 1:50 oil ratio. About one liter per stremma in dense vegetation with thick mallow. It does not heat up at all and you can work nonstop. The 0.9-liter tank is so easy to forget to fill. It starts on the first pull and you feel that it will never let you down. The handlebar is a little uncomfortable and there are some vibrations. Also the trigger is stiff, resulting in hand fatigue. From what I learned, its shaft is Chinese, but it is of good quality. After all this, I regret not buying it sooner. Also, its price is vfm because it is reliable and in the end it is cheaper than the well-known Chinese ones that constantly suck up gasoline and have higher operating and maintenance costs. But be careful that it says made in Japan.
18/4/2021: I am coming back to add that after ten days of use, the strip located under the guard, which contains the blade, broke. This damage was caused by a stone that was thrown with force because, as I mentioned earlier, it is a powerful machine. If you want to replace it, it is not sold separately but comes as the whole guard package and costs 25 euros plus shipping. If you buy an imitation, it is not certain that it will fit.
12/8/2023. While I had finished the summer work, after a few days I took it to clean it and do the relevant maintenance. To my surprise I found that the fuel cap had cracked around the perimeter and had made an extensive crack. From a Nakayama pole saw that I had out of service I took the cap, which fit. I ran it a little to see if I had solved the problem, but I saw that the machine had lost its power. When I revved it, it was about to stall. Unscrewing the cap, it sucked in air and worked normally for a while. Then the same thing again. I understood that the air replenishment hole is small, resulting in negative pressure. I called the supplier from whom I bought it to ask for a replacement. He did not have it, and I called the general importer in Athens. He did not have it either. He advised me to find another one from an agricultural machinery shop. I found one from Kawasaki that fit and thus solved the problem.
1/9/2026 I am coming back to confirm that the machine is very good. This summer I cleared 12 stremmas, where due to the late rains the grass had become tall and dense, mostly dry, with great ease. No damage, without stalling anywhere. Filter cleaning from dust and LS Husqvarna mixing oil. Fuel consumption is minimal, very economical. It starts easily, of course last year I changed the spark plug and saw a difference in starting. It is the sixth year that I have had it.
