  • RPM (Revolutions Per Minute)

This concerns the number of revolutions per minute that the drum can make. Usually ranging from 600 to 1600 depending on the washing machine, however up to 1200 revolutions can meet most of our needs. When the revolutions are high, the clothes come out drier and thus reduces the drying time.

    2. Indicatively, cotton and mixed fabrics can be washed in a program with 1000 revolutions, while more delicate fabrics such as wool and silk in a program with 600 revolutions.

  • Number of Programs

The set of programs included in the washing machine. The more programs, the more options for washing clothes.

  • Energy Class

New energy efficiency scale consisting of classes A, B, C, D, E, F, G. Devices with class A (green) have the lowest energy consumption, while devices with class G (red) have the highest consumption.

For example, for an 8 kg washing machine, if we want to move from class F to A, we save about €10 annually from electricity consumption. While the transition between consecutive classes is almost negligible in annual cost.

It is worth noting that there is no correspondence between the old and the new energy efficiency scale. You can find detailed information about the New Energy Label in Skroutz's guide.

The washing machine broke down while still under warranty. Terrible service from Samsung. Their technician has come 4 times and each time tells me it’s a different problem. Samsung is extremely slow in sending the spare parts and I’ve been without a washing machine for over a month.
Overall, it washes decently but it’s a huge hassle if it breaks down.
Do not buy a Samsung washing machine.

We bought the washing machine in May to replace our Miele W149, which served us for 16 years of hard work. So far, it is excellent, it washes, dries, steams (do not buy a washing machine without steam, it does an incredible job), it "talks" to us, keeps the cats interested while it spins, and overall we are very satisfied and hope it will keep us company for the next 5-6 years.
