The LS-2 power cords rank among the top choices in the GigaWatt power cable offering. They are the result of numerous years of experience and research for a reference cable.

The main priority during the creation of the LS-2 project was to achieve a product without compromises, without regard to the limitations associated with production costs. The LS series also serves as an excellent laboratory for improving existing products and creating new GigaWatt products.

The GigaWatt LS-2 EVO is the next generation of this reference cable. The main construction assumptions remain the same, while the significant change is the use of new conductors. Instead of solid wires, multiple strands are used. A thicker wire has been replaced by seven thinner ones, forming a conductor with a total cross-section of 1.5 mm².

The design is of a conductor 9 x 1.5 mm², where each conductor consists of 7 strands, woven into a tight shape. The conductors are made from oxygen-free silver brass with a purity of 5N, produced according to our specifications. This design increases the active surface area of the wire and makes the cable more flexible.

The overall structure is covered by a sealed copper shield, protecting against EMI and RFI noise.

In the construction of the cable, great emphasis was placed on reducing vibrations caused by the electromagnetic field around the conductors. The working conductors are surrounded by a multi-layered material that absorbs unwanted vibrations. Externally, the cable is additionally protected by a black, fabric overcoating made of polyolefin and an antistatic mesh that prevents the buildup of electrostatic charge.

Specifically for the LS-2 EVO, a new lossless passive filter made from nanocrystalline alloys has been developed. It is composed in a carefully selected position within the cable and provides additional protection against interferences and oscillations at the cable's output.

The assembly of the cable is done exclusively by hand. The construction of a single LS-2 EVO piece requires hours of skilled labor, and all stages of the production process are carried out under strict control, ensuring the highest quality of the product and repeatability for subsequent items.

Notably, the cable is equipped with excellent proprietary plugs, manufactured to our specifications. Their mass production ensures exceptional durability and reliability. The housing of the plugs is made of solid aluminum. Their solid connections are made from solid brass covered with rhodium, ensuring low resistance and a greater number of connection cycles without loss of parameters. The connections have also been further treated with cryogenic treatment and demagnetization. All conductors are connected without the use of solder, and the plug connections are screw-type, reducing plug resistance and ensuring reliability.

The LS-2 EVO is highly recommended for powering high-consumption devices. It can also successfully power reference audio and video sources. The version with a C-19 plug is a specially designed power cable for the top GigaWatt PC-4 EVO+ power supply.
