I am a volunteer firefighter (Civil Protection). I bought it for smoke detection and other incidents. For this job, it is just as much as fits in the bag, it has good zoom. As a forest firefighter, it is important for me to be easy to use, durable, and have good results, ideally being portable enough. Maybe it doesn't fit in a pocket, but it fits perfectly in a cup holder in the vehicle, the result is amazing, and it doesn't lie about the 8x - 20x zoom it has. The only "difficult" thing is learning to look correctly through the lens, because it needs to be centered with the eye lens.
It is quite durable with a rubber exterior, the lens covers are okay, and it has a hole to screw the lens onto a tripod for better and more stable observation.
Overall, worth the money. In the fire station, we have bought 2-3 among the members.

I have had it for ten days. Having some experience with telescopes, I was amazed by the clear and comfortable image it provides. The reason is the large 50mm objective lens, the BAK4 image erecting prism, and the fact that the lenses are FMC= Fully Multi Coated, meaning Fully Coated (to allow more light to pass through). The black ring you see inside the optical tube at low magnification is due to the eye pupil moving away from the center of the eyepiece lens. If you have the rubber ring around the eyepiece lens unscrewed, it greatly reduces the favorable large field of view created by the large eyepiece lens and renders the telescope useless. Always keep the eye pupil in the center of the eyepiece lens, especially at low magnification. I would definitely recommend buying this telescope!

Αιτία ο μεγάλος αντικειμενικός φακός 50mm, τό πρίσμα ανόρθωσης τής εικόνας ποιότητας ΒΑΚ4, καί τό ότι οι φακοί είναι FMC= Fully Multi Coated δηλαδή Πλήρως Πολυεπιστρωμένοι (γιά νά διέρχεται περισσότερο φώς). Τό μαύρο δακτυλίδι πού βλέπετε στό εσωτερικό τού οπτικού σωλήνα στή μικρή μεγέθυνση, οφείλεται στό ότι η κόρη τού οφθαλμού ξέφυγε από τό κέντρο τού προσοφθάλμιου φακό. Aν έχετε ξεβιδωμένο τό λαστιχένιο δακτυλίδι γύρω από τόν προσοφθάλμιο φακό τότε μειώνεται πάρα πολύ τό ευνοϊκό μεγάλο οπτικό πεδίο πού δημιουργεί ο μεγάλος προσοφθάλμιος φακός, καί αχρηστεύεται τό τηλεσκόπιο . Πάντα νά κρατάτε τήν κόρη τού ματιού στό κέντρο τού προσοφθάλμιου φακού, κυρίως στήν μικρή μεγέθυνση. Βεβαίως θά πρότεινα γιά αγορά αυτό τό τηλεσκόπιο !

In the first trial, it seems very impressive, but it is a bit difficult until you find how to position the eye because it feels like something is playing internally, but it is purely a matter of placing it correctly in the eye from what I have understood. Δεν είναι σαν τα κλασσικά κιάλια που απλά ακουμπάς μάτι, θέλει να το βρεις. Το ζουμ πολύ καλό στο βαθμό που μπόρεσα να το τεστάρω. Συνολικά, στιβαρή κατασκευή, καλό ζουμ, εστίαση και μια λειτουργία για αυτούς που φοράνε γυαλιά. Όλα σε βαθμό ικανοποιητικό και που ίσως σε άλλο προϊόν να κόστιζε παραπάνω. Για μεγάλες αποστάσεις θέλει οπωσδήποτε τρίποδο ή κάπου σταθερά να ακουμπάει αλλιώς δεν (φυσικό είναι βέβαια). 5 αστέρια εύκολα. Αν τυχόν παρατηρήσω κάτι αρνητικό θα επιστρέψω.

Θεωρητικά 20X ζουμ σημαίνει ότι κάτι που βρίσκεται 1000 μέτρα μακριά το βλέπεις σαν να είναι στα 50 μέτρα. Αλλά παίζουν κι άλλοι παράγοντες ρόλο πχ σωστή εστίαση, καθαρότητα ατμόσφαιρας κλπ.
Εξαρτάται τί θεωρείς ικανοποιητικό βαθμό. Αν χρησιμοποιήσεις μια απλή compact μηχανή με οπτικό ζουμ 3X σε συνδυασμό με το 20X ζουμ που έχει γίνεται αυτόματα 60X. Είναι υπεραρκετό για να δεις λεπτομέρειες στην επιφάνεια της σελήνης.

The reason is the large 50mm objective lens, the BAK4 image erecting prism, and the fact that the lenses are FMC= Fully Multi Coated, meaning Fully Coated (to allow more light to pass through). The black ring you see inside the optical tube at low magnification is due to the eye pupil moving away from the center of the eyepiece lens. If you have the rubber ring around the eyepiece lens unscrewed, it greatly reduces the favorable large field of view created by the large eyepiece lens and renders the telescope useless. Always keep the eye pupil in the center of the eyepiece lens, especially at low magnification. I would definitely recommend buying this telescope!

Ακύρωση τού προηγούμενου σχολίου μου καί διατύπωση νέου: Τό έχω ένα δεκαήμερο. Εχοντας κάποια πείρα σέ τηλεσκόπια, έμεινα κατάπληκτος από τήν καθαρή καί άνετη εικόνα πού δίνει. Αιτία ο μεγάλος αντικειμενικός φακός 50mm, τό πρίσμα ανόρθωσης τής εικόνας ποιότητας ΒΑΚ4, καί τό ότι οι φακοί είναι FMC= Fully Multi Coated δηλαδή Πλήρως Πολυεπιστρωμένοι (γιά νά διέρχεται περισσότερο φώς). Τό μαύρο δακτυλίδι πού βλέπετε στό εσωτερικό τού οπτικού σωλήνα στή μικρή μεγέθυνση, οφείλεται στό ότι η κόρη τού οφθαλμού ξέφυγε από τό κέντρο τού προσοφθάλμιου φακό. Aν έχετε ξεβιδωμένο τό λαστιχένιο δακτυλίδι γύρω από τόν προσοφθάλμιο φακό τότε μειώνεται πάρα πολύ τό ευνοϊκό μεγάλο οπτικό πεδίο πού δημιουργεί ο μεγάλος προσοφθάλμιος φακός, καί αχρηστεύεται τό τηλεσκόπιο . Πάντα νά κρατάτε τήν κόρη τού ματιού στό κέντρο τού προσοφθάλμιου φακού, κυρίως στήν μικρή μεγέθυνση. Βεβαίως θά πρότεινα γιά αγορά αυτό τό τηλεσκόπιο !
