Description

Description

The primary goal of this book is to enrich and expand upon the topics presented in the school textbook.
The vast majority of sources come from works of contemporary and very recent historiography and bibliography, as well as reference works in the academic historical community. Additionally, historical sources are drawn and utilized from the Teacher's Book, the evaluation criteria for the History of the 3rd Grade of Lyceum (KEE), the digital material of historical sources for Modern and Contemporary Greek History from the KEG, and the Learning Objects of "Photodendro". Finally, primary archival material is often cited, as well as sources and questions from all previous Panhellenic Examination topics (1999-2020).

The structure of this aid is based on the most recent guidelines for the examination method of the subject. The aid begins with a brief overview of historiographical currents in the science of History. This is followed by a useful guide for the methodological approach and analysis of historical sources, whether they are textual sources (published or unpublished) or multimodal texts (photographs, cartoons, statistical tables, diagrams, etc.). The aid includes the chapters and sections of the school textbook that belong to the examined material. Each section consists of a brief outline, the definitions that arise in the section, comprehension questions (development), closed-type questions (T/F), commentary on the most important images of the school textbook, analysis of the school textbook sources, and examination of additional sources as historical information for a more complete, detailed, and exhaustive understanding of the historical narrative.

Each chapter is framed at the end with combinatory questions corresponding to the specific chapter and five review evaluation criteria. At the end of the book, a chronological table with the most important dates and events of the historical narrative is provided.

  • This review is about the book: Humanities orientation

It needs to be revised because many of the topics are not included and instead there are lessons that are off-topic; otherwise, it is very useful with the historical terms and the chronological tables

This review is about the book: Humanities orientation

One of the best history aids that someone can buy. I believe it is ideal for those who have photographic memory. It writes everything comprehensible and enjoyable in paragraphs with titles, so that you can better understand what you are reading each time.

At the end of each section, there are exercises and even exercises that have been asked in the national exams. Next to each question that has been asked in the national exams, it says "exams".

The answers to many exercises are given through the school history book, where it writes the beginning and the end of the answer to the question, so that they are given in the same words as the book writes them.

This review is about the book: Humanities orientation

It has diagrams in each section and titles for each paragraph, explanation of key terms of the section, analysis of the sources of the book. It also has exercises of both closed and open type for each chapter and overall evaluation criteria. Finally, it has external sources so that the student can practice analyzing and writing about the topics of the second group. It is excellent.

Excellent aid, with rich material, which undoubtedly helps educators and students. The additional information it provides "illuminates" unknown aspects of our history.
