  • Application Stage

    Pre-emergence

Pre-emergence herbicides work by preventing the germination of seeds and the growth of weeds from their early stages. They are ideal for prevention and are used before the appearance of unwanted plants.

    Post-transplant

Post-emergence herbicides are applied directly to developed weeds and act by destroying them or inhibiting their further growth.

  • Mode of Action of Herbicide

    Selective

It combats specific types of unwanted plants (weeds), while protecting the crop, lawn, or plants we wish to preserve. It works selectively, being absorbed by the leaves or roots, without harming the desired plants.

  • Weed Control

    Broadleaf

They have broad and usually wide leaves (e.g. clover, dandelion).

    Grasses

They have narrow leaves (e.g. couch grass, wild oat).

    Annual

They complete their life cycle within a single growing season (e.g. purslane, darnel, wild oat).
