  • For its price, it's honest... it's nothing special but it's quite good for this category... on the nose there's not much aroma but in the mouth there's light smoke, honey, spices, and quite intense ginger... for a 30€ whisky it's a good choice

Very nice aroma (ginger and spices as stated). The taste for this price is nice, nothing special. At first, it seemed intense to me, but I got used to it relatively quickly. I drink it with an ice cube and honestly, that's just about right because it gets diluted quickly. If you find it for 25-30€, I think it's a good choice for its type.

Very good whiskey. Compared to Johnny Walker Red, which is no longer drinkable straight alcohol. I tried it for the first time and now it's my favorite; I hit the bottles two by two to have a stash

  • Very good whiskey for its price, especially if you catch it on supermarket promotions, I prefer it over premium blended types like black label, and it drinks pleasantly neat.

  • Exceptional taste, Unbelievable aroma. I am not an expert but this whiskey became one of my favorites.
It is smooth and pleasant with notes of cherry as well.

I don't understand the negative comments. I checked them before opening the bottle to see what they were saying about this whiskey, and I thought, "Oh no, what did I buy to try? It's going to be bad." I open it and the aroma hits me. I think, "Okay, we're off to a good start." I take a sip and it's really a very good whiskey. And for the money it costs, I found it to be a great deal. It's a must-buy. I didn't know it before, but I bought it for the first time and I was very satisfied.

A mediocre whiskey, I would say without character. It resembles a common blended one. Its aroma is better than its taste, which is not refined.

Certainly, I cannot compare it to other single malts that I have tried, and it would be sacrilege to compare it, for example, to a Glenfiddich 12 y.o or a Gragganmore. With the first opening, it gave me a strong whiskey scent. With the first sip (of course, neat), it didn't win me over at all. It didn't have any particular aromas, and certainly not vanilla and biscuit as mentioned in the description (when I read biscuit, I had some thoughts... few single Speyside malts that respect themselves and their character leave biscuit aromas, but to each their own). As for the aftertaste... it was disappointing. I bought it from a well-known supermarket chain for 24 euros, and it definitely doesn't deserve more. If it cost more, I definitely wouldn't choose it.

A whiskey quite good but not everyone will love it. It has strong aromas of biscuit and vanilla with a somewhat moderate aftertaste. However, at this price, it is worth it, especially when it is on offer during this period!

So the little whiskey I have next to a 55 euro Oban and I can say that it brings it quite well. It lacks that something in the aftertaste, but you definitely can't say it has a cheap taste, it is very decent. I got it for 24 euros on offer and I felt like going to get a second one to do my own tricks with it. To tell you the truth, I'm tempted to get the slightly more expensive one out of curiosity, but unfortunately I'm also tempted by the new green Johny (be good tonight..). If Scrooge had half a star, I would give it 4.5 for its money. It is definitely a different style of taste from the regular Johny, more delicate and distinctive, it has an Oban-like quality. I will definitely age it, it is already working.. ;-)

It is one of the good malts, but it needs water next to it because it hits the taste buds strongly (double cask). It is suitable for accompanying tobacco, cigars, etc. However, if you are looking for something easy-going, skip it.
