Professor Eustrophios Anakyklopoulos tells us a story about a cod and a spoon: "My dear children, we made it to the sea! Yes! We are not ashamed to say it. The Earth is in great danger. Fortunately, two of our little friends will show us the way to save it. Our heroes are Lakis the Codfish, a greedy fish who leaves his school, and Thalassis the Spoon, a spoon that ended up in the sea due to human error. Initially, the gluttonous Lakis will show gastronomic interest in the unknown spoon. Later, however, he will change his mind and together they will try to find the blue recycling bin. In their adventurous journey, they will encounter disgust, racism, and indifference towards the environment. Will they succeed in the end? Or will they go to waste? A lesson to discover our ecological conscience, respect for the different, the values of mutual aid and friendship. It doesn't matter who you are, where you come from, or how you are. What matters is to collaborate, overcome difficulties, and help those in need. This work was honored with the 1st prize of children's literature at the 3rd Panhellenic Silver Page Competition of Moraitis and Entyposis publications."
