I can't understand why Eheim heaters have such a good reputation. I have three, and none of them are perfect for their price. Generally, I believe they struggle with temperature regulation. Specifically, this one maintains the temperature just fine, but to adjust it, you have to make small tweaks until you get it right. I wanted 25 degrees, and I have it somewhere around 24. And this changes every time I have to unplug it. Also, I want to emphasize that it's not just mine that has a deviation like someone might say 1 degree. I mean, if I want 24, I have to set it to 23 or 26 to get 25. If you adjust it every time, this can change. It also matters whether you adjust it by increasing or decreasing the temperature. For example, if I want 25, I set it to 22 and then see after a while what temperature the aquarium has. I increase it very slightly without looking at the display and observe the aquarium's temperature. I repeat the whole process with fine-tuning until it locks in at the desired 25. If a mistake happens and I raise it too much and it exceeds 25 and I need to lower it, then everything changes. For instance, if during the increase to 23.5, it registers 24.6 and I set it to 24 and it registers 25.5, if I lower it back to 23.5, it won't register 24.6 but might register 25.2. In general, adjusting it for a stable and desired temperature is incredibly difficult. I use the above as an example and not that I am looking for and striving for such absolute temperature. I want to quickly and easily set a temperature and get approximately the desired one, in my case around 25. Not to set 24 and have it register 26-26.5, and with a slight turn, it's 25, and for that point to change and depend on the turn for decreasing or increasing the temperature. I emphasize again that I have 3 that do this, but 2 are the Jager, where things are worse.

Δηλαδή αν θέλω 24 να το βάλω στο 23 ή 26 να το βάλω 25. Αν το ρυθμίζεις κάθε φορά αυτό μπορεί να αλλάξει. Επίσης παίζει ρόλο και αν τον ρυθμίζεις αυξάνοντας την θερμοκρασία ή μειώνοντας την. Δηλαδή αν θέλω 25 βάζω πχ 22 και βλέπω μετά από ώρα τι θερμοκρασία έχει το ενυδρείο. Το αυξάνω πολύ λίγο χωρίς να κοιτάω την ένδειξη και παρατηρώ την θερμοκρασία του ενυδρείου. Επαναλαμβάνω όλη την διαδικασία με μικρορύθμιση μέχρι να κλειδώσει στους επιθυμητούς 25. Αν γίνει λάθος και το ανεβάσω αρκετά και υπερβεί τους 25 και χρειαστεί να το κατεβάσω τότε όλα αλλάζουν. Πχ αν κατά το ανέβασμα στους 23,5 ρύθμιση έπιανε 24,6 και το βάλω 24 και πιάσει 25,5, αν το κατεβάσω πάλι στους 23,5 δεν θα πιάσει 24,6 αλλά μπορεί να πιάνει 25,2. Γενικά είναι απίστευτα δύσκολη η ρύθμιση του για σταθερή και επιθυμητή θερμοκρασία. Το ανωτέρω το χρησιμοποιώ σαν παράδειγμα και όχι ότι ψάχνω και επιδιώκω τόσο απόλυτη θερμοκρασία. Θέλω να βάζω γρήγορα και απλά μια θερμοκρασία και να πιάνω περίπου την επιθυμητή, στην περίπτωση μου πάνω κάτω 25. Όχι να βάζω 24 να πιάνει 26-26,5 και με ένα αμυδρό γύρισμα είναι 25 και να αλλάζει αυτό το σημείο και να εξαρτάται από το γύρισμα για μείωση ή αυξηση της θερμοκρασίας.
Επισημαίνω πάλι ότι έχω 3 που το κάνουν, αλλά οι 2 είναι οι jager Που εκεί τα πράγματα είναι χειρότερα.

With one year of operation, the thermocontrol stopped working. The previous one, Jager, boiled my fish after two years of operation. I bought a third and final thermocontrol, if it breaks again, it's the end for Eheim.

I declare myself completely satisfied with the product, having lived with it for some time now.
My previous heater was also from Eheim, for several years, but it was from the Jaeger series with manual calibration. Based on reviews, I decided to switch to the electronically controlled one, also considering the price, as the difference from the manual one was very small.
The Thermocontrol E came pre-set at 26 degrees, I simply installed it and when the aquarium reached a stable temperature, I checked it with a glass thermometer and it was exactly 26 degrees. I have checked it several times since then and the reading is always the same. So everything is good. Also, I no longer have the insecurity of accidentally moving the orange ring of the Jaeger and ending up setting a different temperature than I want, essentially losing the true knowledge of whether the device is properly regulating the temperature and has suffered any damage.
I really like the dual-color LED indicator that changes from green to red depending on whether it is heating or not, so I know exactly if it is functioning or not (something I couldn't know with the Jaeger) and if it is heating.
The double suction cup is great, which is not surprising since the company has been producing quality products for many years.
I still have to see its lifespan. The fact that it is a product from the same manufacturer is a guarantee but also a heavy legacy. Jaeger heaters are very sturdy constructions and the bar is set very high. I will update in due course.

Just today I realized that the heater is not working. So we are talking about not even 15 months.
Therefore, I am deducting one star. I am not deducting a second one (even though the lifespan was very short) because the company provides a 3-year warranty for the device, which is a significant advantage for me.
It should be noted that the aquarium operates behind a 2kVA OnLine APC UPS. So we can remove the "power quality" factor from the equation.
Δηλώνω απόλυτα ευχαριστημένος από το προϊόν, έχοντας πλέον ζήσει μαζί του κάποιον καιρό.
Και το προηγούμενο θερμαντικό ήταν της Eheim, εδώ και αρκετά χρόνια, αλλά ήταν της σειράς Jaeger με τη δυνατότητα χειροκίνητου calibration. Αποφάσισα βάσει κριτικών να πάω στο ηλεκτρονικά ελεγχόμενο αλλά και βάσει τιμής αφού η διαφορά από το χειροκίνητο ήταν πολύ μικρή.
Το Thermocontrol E ήρθε προρυθμισμένο στους 26 βαθμούς, το εγκατέστησα απλά και όταν απέκτησε το ενυδρείο μια σταθερή θερμοκρασία την έλεγξα με το γυάλινο θερμόμετρο και ήταν ακριβώς 26. Τον έλεγχο τον έχω κάνει αρκετές φορές από τότε και η ένδειξη είναι πάντα η ίδια. Όλα καλά λοιπόν. Επίσης δεν έχω πια την ανασφάλεια του αν έχω κουνήσει κατά λάθος το πορτοκαλί δαχτυλίδι του Jaeger και τελικά βάζω άλλη θερμοκρασία από αυτή που θέλω, χάνοντας ουσιαστικά την πραγματική γνώση του αν η συσκευή δε ρυθμίζει τη θερμοκρασία σωστά και έχει πάθει κάποια βλάβη.
Με βολεύει πολύ η δίχρωμη ένδειξη του LED που αλλάζει από πράσινο σε κόκκινο ανάλογα με το αν θερμαίνει ή όχι, οπότε ξέρω ακριβώς το αν λειτουργεί καν (κάτι που δεν μπορούσα να ξέρω με το Jaeger) και το αν θερμαίνει.
Η διπλή βεντούζα είναι μια χαρά, κάτι που δεν προκαλεί έκπληξη αφού η εταιρεία παράγει ποιοτικά προϊόντα εδώ και πολλά χρόνια.
Μένει να δω και τη διάρκεια ζωής του. Το ότι είναι προϊόν του ίδιου κατασκευαστή είναι ένα εχέγγυο αλλά και μια βαριά κληρονομιά. Τα Jaeger είναι πολύ γερές κατασκευές και ο πήχυς είναι πολύ ψηλά. Θα κάνω update εν καιρώ.

Μόλις σήμερα διαπίστωσα ότι το θερμαντικό δε λειτουργεί. Άρα μιλάμε για ούτε καν 15 μήνες.
Οπότε αφαιρώ το ένα αστέρι. Δεν αφαιρώ δεύτερο (καθότι η διάρκεια ζωής του ήταν πολύ μικρή) επειδή η εταιρεία δίνει 3 χρόνια εγγύηση στη συσκευή, που για μένα είναι ένα σημαντικό πλεονέκτημα.
Να συνυπολογιστεί το γεγονός ότι το ενυδρείο λειτουργεί πίσω από 2kVA OnLine APC UPS. οπότε μπορούμε να αφαιρέσουμε τον παράγοντα "ποιότητα ρεύματος" από την εξίσωση.

Μπορώ να το χρησιμοποιήσω σε ενυδρείο 50-80 λίτρα???Εννοώ αν θα είναι εντάξει η λειτουργία του και σε τόσα λίγα λίτρα.
Στα 60-100 λίτρα η εταιρεία προτείνει το μοντέλο e75 (75Watts) ενώ το e125 που συζητάμε είναι για 150-200 λίτρα. Επίσης το μήκος των 2 μικρών είναι 23εκ, του e75 26εκ και των e100/125 31 εκ. Έχει το μικρό ενυδρείο το ύψος για να χωρέσει σωστά η μακρύτερη συσκευή;
Το ότι παράγει όμως μια εταιρεία τόσα (5) μοντέλα μέχρι τα 200 λίτρα μάλλον πρέπει να μας πει ότι υπάρχει κάποιος λόγος. Αλλιώς γιατί να μην απλοποιήσουν και εκείνοι την παραγωγή τους;
Ο μόνος λόγος που θα αγόραζα προσωπικά μεγαλύτερη συσκευή, εν γένει, σε σχέση με τις ανάγκες μου θα ήταν αν σκόπευα κάποια στιγμή να αλλάξω τις ανάγκες αυτές προς τα "πάνω". Αυτό όμως θα χρειαστεί να το κρίνεις ο ίδιος. Η Eheim με τον τρόπο της, όσο αντιλαμβάνομαι, λέει όχι.

Συγκεκριμένα αυτός κρατάει σταθερά την θερμοκρασία μια χαρά αλλά για να τον ρυθμίσεις πρέπει να κάνεις μικρορυθμίσεις μέχρι να το πετύχεις. Ήθελα 25 βαθμούς και το έχω κάπου στο 24 παρά. Και αυτό αλλάζει κάθε φορά που πρέπει να τον βγάλω από την πρίζα. Επίσης να τονίσω ότι δεν είναι ο δικός μου που απλά έχει απόκλιση όπως μπορεί να πει κάποιος 1 βαθμό. Δηλαδή αν θέλω 24 να το βάλω στο 23 ή 26 να το βάλω 25. Αν το ρυθμίζεις κάθε φορά αυτό μπορεί να αλλάξει. Επίσης παίζει ρόλο και αν τον ρυθμίζεις αυξάνοντας την θερμοκρασία ή μειώνοντας την. Δηλαδή αν θέλω 25 βάζω πχ 22 και βλέπω μετά από ώρα τι θερμοκρασία έχει το ενυδρείο. Το αυξάνω πολύ λίγο χωρίς να κοιτάω την ένδειξη και παρατηρώ την θερμοκρασία του ενυδρείου. Επαναλαμβάνω όλη την διαδικασία με μικρορύθμιση μέχρι να κλειδώσει στους επιθυμητούς 25. Αν γίνει λάθος και το ανεβάσω αρκετά και υπερβεί τους 25 και χρειαστεί να το κατεβάσω τότε όλα αλλάζουν. Πχ αν κατά το ανέβασμα στους 23,5 ρύθμιση έπιανε 24,6 και το βάλω 24 και πιάσει 25,5, αν το κατεβάσω πάλι στους 23,5 δεν θα πιάσει 24,6 αλλά μπορεί να πιάνει 25,2. Γενικά είναι απίστευτα δύσκολη η ρύθμιση του για σταθερή και επιθυμητή θερμοκρασία. Το ανωτέρω το χρησιμοποιώ σαν παράδειγμα και όχι ότι ψάχνω και επιδιώκω τόσο απόλυτη θερμοκρασία. Θέλω να βάζω γρήγορα και απλά μια θερμοκρασία και να πιάνω περίπου την επιθυμητή, στην περίπτωση μου πάνω κάτω 25. Όχι να βάζω 24 να πιάνει 26-26,5 και με ένα αμυδρό γύρισμα είναι 25 και να αλλάζει αυτό το σημείο και να εξαρτάται από το γύρισμα για μείωση ή αυξηση της θερμοκρασίας.
Επισημαίνω πάλι ότι έχω 3 που το κάνουν, αλλά οι 2 είναι οι jager Που εκεί τα πράγματα είναι χειρότερα.

With one year of operation, the thermocontrol stopped working. The previous one, Jager, boiled my fish after two years of operation. I bought a third and final thermocontrol, if it breaks again, it's the end for Eheim.

I declare myself completely satisfied with the product, having lived with it for some time now.
My previous heater was also from Eheim, for several years, but it was from the Jaeger series with manual calibration. Based on reviews, I decided to switch to the electronically controlled one, also considering the price, as the difference from the manual one was very small.
The Thermocontrol E came pre-set at 26 degrees, I simply installed it and when the aquarium reached a stable temperature, I checked it with a glass thermometer and it was exactly 26 degrees. I have checked it several times since then and the reading is always the same. So everything is good. Also, I no longer have the insecurity of accidentally moving the orange ring of the Jaeger and ending up setting a different temperature than I want, essentially losing the true knowledge of whether the device is properly regulating the temperature and has suffered any damage.
I really like the dual-color LED indicator that changes from green to red depending on whether it is heating or not, so I know exactly if it is functioning or not (something I couldn't know with the Jaeger) and if it is heating.
The double suction cup is great, which is not surprising since the company has been producing quality products for many years.
I still have to see its lifespan. The fact that it is a product from the same manufacturer is a guarantee but also a heavy legacy. Jaeger heaters are very sturdy constructions and the bar is set very high. I will update in due course.

Just today I realized that the heater is not working. So we are talking about not even 15 months.
Therefore, I am deducting one star. I am not deducting a second one (even though the lifespan was very short) because the company provides a 3-year warranty for the device, which is a significant advantage for me.
It should be noted that the aquarium operates behind a 2kVA OnLine APC UPS. So we can remove the "power quality" factor from the equation.
Δηλώνω απόλυτα ευχαριστημένος από το προϊόν, έχοντας πλέον ζήσει μαζί του κάποιον καιρό.
Και το προηγούμενο θερμαντικό ήταν της Eheim, εδώ και αρκετά χρόνια, αλλά ήταν της σειράς Jaeger με τη δυνατότητα χειροκίνητου calibration. Αποφάσισα βάσει κριτικών να πάω στο ηλεκτρονικά ελεγχόμενο αλλά και βάσει τιμής αφού η διαφορά από το χειροκίνητο ήταν πολύ μικρή.
Το Thermocontrol E ήρθε προρυθμισμένο στους 26 βαθμούς, το εγκατέστησα απλά και όταν απέκτησε το ενυδρείο μια σταθερή θερμοκρασία την έλεγξα με το γυάλινο θερμόμετρο και ήταν ακριβώς 26. Τον έλεγχο τον έχω κάνει αρκετές φορές από τότε και η ένδειξη είναι πάντα η ίδια. Όλα καλά λοιπόν. Επίσης δεν έχω πια την ανασφάλεια του αν έχω κουνήσει κατά λάθος το πορτοκαλί δαχτυλίδι του Jaeger και τελικά βάζω άλλη θερμοκρασία από αυτή που θέλω, χάνοντας ουσιαστικά την πραγματική γνώση του αν η συσκευή δε ρυθμίζει τη θερμοκρασία σωστά και έχει πάθει κάποια βλάβη.
Με βολεύει πολύ η δίχρωμη ένδειξη του LED που αλλάζει από πράσινο σε κόκκινο ανάλογα με το αν θερμαίνει ή όχι, οπότε ξέρω ακριβώς το αν λειτουργεί καν (κάτι που δεν μπορούσα να ξέρω με το Jaeger) και το αν θερμαίνει.
Η διπλή βεντούζα είναι μια χαρά, κάτι που δεν προκαλεί έκπληξη αφού η εταιρεία παράγει ποιοτικά προϊόντα εδώ και πολλά χρόνια.
Μένει να δω και τη διάρκεια ζωής του. Το ότι είναι προϊόν του ίδιου κατασκευαστή είναι ένα εχέγγυο αλλά και μια βαριά κληρονομιά. Τα Jaeger είναι πολύ γερές κατασκευές και ο πήχυς είναι πολύ ψηλά. Θα κάνω update εν καιρώ.

Μόλις σήμερα διαπίστωσα ότι το θερμαντικό δε λειτουργεί. Άρα μιλάμε για ούτε καν 15 μήνες.
Οπότε αφαιρώ το ένα αστέρι. Δεν αφαιρώ δεύτερο (καθότι η διάρκεια ζωής του ήταν πολύ μικρή) επειδή η εταιρεία δίνει 3 χρόνια εγγύηση στη συσκευή, που για μένα είναι ένα σημαντικό πλεονέκτημα.
Να συνυπολογιστεί το γεγονός ότι το ενυδρείο λειτουργεί πίσω από 2kVA OnLine APC UPS. οπότε μπορούμε να αφαιρέσουμε τον παράγοντα "ποιότητα ρεύματος" από την εξίσωση.

I can't understand why Eheim heaters have such a good reputation. I have three, and none of them are perfect for their price. Generally, I believe they struggle with temperature regulation. Specifically, this one maintains the temperature just fine, but to adjust it, you have to make small tweaks until you get it right. I wanted 25 degrees, and I have it somewhere around 24. And this changes every time I have to unplug it. Also, I want to emphasize that it's not just mine that has a deviation like someone might say 1 degree. I mean, if I want 24, I have to set it to 23 or 26 to get 25. If you adjust it every time, this can change. It also matters whether you adjust it by increasing or decreasing the temperature. For example, if I want 25, I set it to 22 and then see after a while what temperature the aquarium has. I increase it very slightly without looking at the display and observe the aquarium's temperature. I repeat the whole process with fine-tuning until it locks in at the desired 25. If a mistake happens and I raise it too much and it exceeds 25 and I need to lower it, then everything changes. For instance, if during the increase to 23.5, it registers 24.6 and I set it to 24 and it registers 25.5, if I lower it back to 23.5, it won't register 24.6 but might register 25.2. In general, adjusting it for a stable and desired temperature is incredibly difficult. I use the above as an example and not that I am looking for and striving for such absolute temperature. I want to quickly and easily set a temperature and get approximately the desired one, in my case around 25. Not to set 24 and have it register 26-26.5, and with a slight turn, it's 25, and for that point to change and depend on the turn for decreasing or increasing the temperature. I emphasize again that I have 3 that do this, but 2 are the Jager, where things are worse.
