    The three stars are for the material they are made of. The transparent curved rulers break with the first falls. Mine broke into 2 pieces at the outer edge after falling on tiles from a low table about half a year after purchase. If it wasn't for this, they would deserve five stars, as they are very helpful for measurements and can be used accordingly in various clothing patterns. I don't know if they changed the material they make them from.
