If aesthetics is what you're looking for, then YES. However, aesthetics alone is not enough as a reason to purchase a product that is intended for a very specific use! Practically and only practically, the reason you buy and install a hood above your kitchen is to absorb odors and prevent their spread in your home to the maximum extent. The shape (circular, for example) is not sufficient for this purpose. These types of hoods (round island hoods) have a limited coverage area for the entire surface of the kitchen. As a result, the steam and odors "slip away, smiling ironically that they got away" next to the beautiful designed hood, which struggles in a futile attempt to contain the uncontrollable. You enjoy seeing it, but you worry watching it when it operates with a pot underneath, provocatively emitting smoke. I believe that the surface of the hood should at least cover the corresponding surface of the burners. The once rectangular shape provides the solution. Otherwise, you will stand and admire your device as a work of art and NOTHING more!
