  • Rating "A" (Solid Fuels): The number represents the length of a standardized wood crib in tenths of a meter.

    • Example (21A): Extinguishes a wood crib with a length of 2.1 meters.

    • Formula: Length (m) = Rating / 10.

  • Rating "B" (Liquid Fuels): The number represents the quantity (in liters) of a liquid fuel mixture (1/3 fuel, 2/3 water) in a circular container.

    • Example (144B): Extinguishes a container with 144 liters of flammable liquid.

  • Rating "C" (Gases): There is no number. The "C" indication simply certifies that the material is suitable for gases (e.g., propane).
