This review is about the bottle: 700 ml

Of the whiskies in the series,
I rank it among the good choices.
Usually, Irish ones, being easier to drink,
have an advantage in this price (and quality) range!
Along with Jameson, Tullamore & Teachers,
it is one of the "honest" options around 20 euros.

Bushmills holds the record for the oldest licensed whiskey distillery, with the first license granted in 1608 by King James I and the official founding year being 1784. It uses 100% malted barley and water from the Saint Columb’s Rill, which filters through volcanic rocks—a feature that gives the whiskey its distinctive quality. Now, as for the simple Bushmills Original, it is a light blend with sweet notes of vanilla, honey, and fruit. Personally, I find it half a notch milder on the throat and smoother than the also excellent Tullamore! For its price, it’s an excellent product, no question! Drink responsibly, never drink and drive! Thank you for your time.

    What I wrote about Tullamore
It is soft on the throat, it doesn't burn you, it doesn't make you shiver, along with Tullamore it is one of the most easygoing Whiskeys available.
It won't suit someone with particular demands. It is a simple, cheap, and easygoing Irish Whiskey, nothing more

Revealing, especially for its price. Easily surpasses more expensive "known" ones.

Personally, it gives me a mild taste of dark chocolate. Smooth, subtly aromatic, no "alcohol burn". A little ice and water to bring out its full potential.

Pairs perfectly with -good- Mesolongi caviar. The blonde one, not the brick-colored ones that are circulating.

Considering its price, in my opinion, it is the best "simple" whiskey, while easily competing with more expensive ones.

    Highly recommended!

A Northern Irish whiskey. In contrast to the heavily advertised Jameson and Tullamore, which are based in the rapidly developing Dublin of Northern Ireland in recent years, the old distillery of "Bushmills" is located in the village of Bushmills on the northern side of Northern Ireland. In fact, it is considered the world's first whiskey distillery and dates back to the distant year of 1608.

My favorite for years, ever since I discovered it. It is "smooth" in taste, slightly spicy and sweet at the end. The aroma that I strongly distinguish is vanilla.
I recommend consuming it neat or at least with a small ice cube so as not to alter its already smooth taste.
Finally, its price is excellent in relation to its quality. Absolutely great value for money.

Bushmills is a quite underrated whiskey and I say this because everyone has Jameson higher up just because it's a brand. Firstly, I have to say that it's quite smooth for its price with aromas and flavors of vanilla and quite easy to drink. In my opinion, because its taste is light, it should be consumed with a few drops of water and not with ice because it will dilute too much. Now, in comparison to Jameson: It's purely a preference, for me, one day I will like one more than the other, but if you want a heavier kick, you will like Jameson. For its price around 18-19 euros, I consider it very good

The taste is a subjective matter. Irish whiskies, especially in the budget categories, have quite a few similarities among them, and Bushmills is one of my favorites. It is smooth and light without being spicy, but the light aromas and a hint of vanilla dominate. Personally, I prefer it over Tullamore, which I find overly aromatic and confusing. Second choice for budget Irish is Jameson.

The best whiskey for up to €25. Wonderful taste, very nice aroma, although I don't distinguish the spicy element very well. It is easy to drink, I wouldn't describe it as heavy. If you want something stronger, I would go straight to Ardberg (which, however, is noticeably more expensive).

First a little history. You see on the label 1608... we're talking about the oldest whiskey distillery in the world!
Classic Irish triple-distilled, without peat smoke in the taste (a quality production peculiarity), matured in oak barrels from sherry and porto madeira. Very rich and full-bodied flavor, a proper combination of fruity/spicy.
With a small ice cube at most... but it is definitely better to drink it neat (with 4-5 drops of water to bring out its aromas better).
The most enjoyable and honest in its category...! (better than any economical Scotch...)
    * Smokers accompany it with a Montechristo.
** Much superior and tastier than Tullamore.

Very nice. Irish whiskey which means smooth, easy-drinking, summery. It doesn't have any particular mouthfeel, but it also doesn't have the alcohol burn of other whiskies in its category. I didn't like it at all. The tullore is much tastier.

In the category of cheap whiskies, this Irish one is excellent! With cola or soda, it is sweet and pleasant.

Inferior to Tulamore. Noticeably. But easy to drink.

One of the most flavorful whiskies. Tasty and aromatic, but also sweet and smooth, it is best enjoyed slowly and neat.

  • Of the whiskies in the series,
I rank it among the good choices.
Usually, Irish ones, being easier to drink,
have an advantage in this price (and quality) range!
Along with Jameson, Tullamore & Teachers,
it is one of the "honest" options around 20 euros.

  • an honest whiskey for its money. In general, the Irish produce smooth whiskeys with intense vanilla and caramel flavors

  • Bushmills holds the record for the oldest licensed whiskey distillery, with the first license granted in 1608 by King James I and the official founding year being 1784.

  • I have been drinking only triple-distilled whiskey for decades - this one is quite good in terms of quality-price ratio. It has a nice taste and is several classes above most on the market!

  • What I wrote about Tullamore
It is soft on the throat, it doesn't burn you, it doesn't make you shiver, along with Tullamore it is one of the most easygoing Whiskeys available.
It won't suit someone with particular demands. It is a simple, cheap, and easygoing Irish Whiskey, nothing more
