Selective post-emergent herbicide for the control of grassy and broadleaf weeds in winter wheat (hard and soft), barley, and triticale.
Pacifica Plus is a systemic, selective herbicide belonging to the sulfonylurea group.
It acts by inhibiting the ALS enzyme, a key component of the oxo-acid synthesis pathway, thus stopping the biosynthesis of essential amino acids (leucine, isoleucine, valine) in weeds, resulting in chlorosis and eventual death.
It is mainly absorbed by the leaves and to a lesser extent by the roots, and is then translocated both acropetally and basipetally.
The target site of action is the meristematic tissues of the weeds.
A few days after application, the growth of the targeted weeds has already ceased and the first symptoms begin to appear.
Complete necrosis occurs within 4-6 weeks.
