What is enameling?
Enameling is the special glass surface created by the melting and bonding of enamel onto a steel surface.
The enamel - which is a mixture of inorganic silicate salts - is completely hygienic and ecological, as it does not contain dangerous chemicals, is water-soluble, and is baked at high temperatures (>850°C).
The application provides excellent anti-corrosion protection and resistance to sudden temperature changes (thermal shock) and offers the most economical solution for protection in boilers and electric stoves.
Enamel Properties
- Protection from all forms of oxidation (glass coating) - resistance to any weather conditions.
- Absolutely safe for public health - compliance with hygiene standards - does not allow the growth of bacteria.
- Resistance to acids, graffiti, and solar radiation.
- Resistance to sudden temperature changes (-60°C to +450°C).
- Easy to clean - possibility of coloring.
- Non-flammable - does not attract dust.
- Electrically neutral combination of enamel and sheet metal.
- Suitable for any water quality (even seawater).
- Recyclable - environmentally friendly.
- Long-term security and safety.
- More economical than any other solution.

Collector
The collector has a surface area of 3.8m², capable of producing up to 380 liters of hot water. It is selective, the type most commonly used in solar water heaters in recent years. It has lower heat losses compared to a simple collector, thus achieving higher efficiency.
Additionally, it is low-profile, meaning its base has a smaller inclination compared to a regular solar water heater. It is suitable for use in areas where there are certain restrictions, such as on islands or in traditional settlements that need to maintain and adhere to specific architectural elements.
Collector Technical Specifications
- Copper & aluminum are the materials used, which are non-corrosive, ensuring a lifespan of many decades. There are no steel parts that corrode.
- Frame made of high-aesthetic aluminum profile, with external corner connectors that ensure perfect fit & sealing of the frame parts & the great robustness of the entire construction.
- Absorber with a selective surface made of 4 mm thick aluminum sheets with special titanium oxide coating. The coating is done with special vacuum processing in Germany. The solar radiation absorption surface is in perfect contact with the copper hydroskeleton, welded with automatic LASER machines for direct heat transfer to the thermal fluid. This ensures a very high absorption coefficient a>95% & a very low emissivity coefficient e<5%, contributing to the maximum thermal efficiency of the collector.
- Back of the collector made of aluminum sheet that ensures complete sealing against the frame without rivets.
- Safety glass tempered, 4 mm thick, with high transmittance t>0.94, with absolute sealing against the frame.
- Thermal insulation made of fiberglass with a density of d=30kg/m3 at the back of the collector (back).
- Oval rubber gasket specially designed, adapted to the copper pipes connecting the collector to prevent thermal bridging between the frame and copper pipes due to thermal expansion and contraction.
Dual Energy
It is dual-energy, meaning it can operate in two ways: with solar or with electric energy. This means that inside the water tank there is an electric resistance, so on days with little sunshine due to cloudiness, you can operate your solar water heater with electric energy and always have hot water.
Solar Water Heater Maintenance
Regular maintenance of the solar water heater optimizes the quality, hygiene, and operational performance, while also saving on energy consumption. For the smooth operation of the solar water heater, regular maintenance by a specialized team is required. The necessary actions during the maintenance of the solar water heater are:
- Checking the level of solar fluids & refilling where necessary.
- Inspecting and repairing the insulation on the local solar pipes.
- Checking and replacing the magnesium anode to prevent the formation of salts inside the solar water heater.
- Inspecting and cleaning the electric resistance.
