The water storage tank features an internal copper lining, resulting in protection against rust and corrosion, which means a very long lifespan. Copper has antimicrobial properties that prevent the growth of pathogenic microorganisms and bacteria, while at the same time heat transfer is improved. Consequently, it has higher efficiency compared to enamel coating or stainless steel.

Tank technical specifications
- Thermal Tank: Made of copper Cu specially shaped into 2 cups joined together with a single welding seam.
- Jacket: Made of pure copper and in accordance with international copper standards.
- Cold water inlet and hot water outlet: Copper pipes with a diameter of Ø 21 X 2.2 and ½'' thread.
- Closed circuit safety valve fitting: ½'' copper pipe.
- Insulation: High-density expanded polyurethane (44 kg/m3) with a thickness of 60 mm.
- Thermal conductivity of insulation: 0.0120 W/mK.
- External casing: Available in four types according to your needs (gray-inox-white-terracotta).
- Side caps: Specially designed and shaped press-fit caps, without auxiliary retention from rivets.
- Electric resistance: Power according to the regulations of the destination country with a single-pole control thermostat and bipolar protection. The resistance is mounted on a specially shaped 3 mm brass flange with 8-thread bolts, for easy installation or replacement in the thermal tank in case of wear.
- Receptacle for the thermostat stem.
Collector
The collector is horizontal and has a surface area of 3.36m², capable of producing up to 336 liters of hot water. It is selective, the type most commonly used in solar water heaters in recent years. It has lower heat losses compared to a simple collector, thus providing higher efficiency.
Additionally, it is low-profile, meaning its base has a smaller inclination compared to a regular solar water heater. It is suitable for use in areas with certain restrictions, such as islands or traditional settlements that need to maintain and adhere to specific architectural elements.
Collector Technical Specifications
- Copper & aluminum are the materials used, meaning non-corrosive materials that ensure a lifespan of many decades. There are no steel parts that corrode.
- Frame made of heavy-duty oval aluminum profile, high aesthetic, advanced design, with internal angular die-cast aluminum screw connectors that ensure excellent fit & sealing of the frame parts & the high rigidity of the collector.
- Absorber with a selective surface made of 4 mm thick aluminum sheets with a special titanium oxide coating. The coating is done with special vacuum processing in Germany. The solar radiation absorption surface is in perfect contact with the copper hydraulic skeleton, welded with automatic LASER machines for immediate heat transfer to the thermal fluid. This ensures a very high absorption coefficient α>95% & a very low emissivity coefficient ε<5%, contributing to the maximum thermal efficiency of the collector.
- Back of the collector made of aluminum sheet ensuring complete sealing against the frame without rivets.
- Hydraulic skeleton of the absorber made of Φ8 & Φ22 mm copper pipes.
- Safety glass tempered, 4 mm thick, high transmittance t>0.94.
- Thermal insulation made of fiberglass with a density of d=30kg/m3 both at the back and the sides of the collector.
- Oval rubber gasket specially designed, adapted to the collector's copper connection pipes to prevent thermal bridging between the frame and copper pipes due to thermal expansion and contraction.
Dual Energy
It is dual-energy, meaning it can operate in two ways: with solar or with electric energy. This means that inside the water tank there is an electric resistance, so on days with little sunshine due to cloudiness, you can operate your solar water heater with electric energy and always have hot water.
Solar Water Heater Maintenance
Regular maintenance of the solar water heater optimizes the quality, hygiene, and operational performance, while also saving on energy consumption. For the smooth operation of the solar water heater, regular maintenance by a specialized team is required. The necessary actions during the maintenance of the solar water heater are:
- Checking the level of solar fluids & refilling where necessary.
- Inspecting and repairing the insulation on the local solar pipes.
- Checking and replacing the magnesium anode to prevent the formation of salts inside the solar water heater.
- Inspecting and cleaning the electric resistance.
