    It is an excellent book for preschool-aged children who are starting to play the violin. My daughter (5 years old) loved it mainly because of the illustrations and was able to play the melodies right away (with the help of her teacher, of course) because it introduces an easy learning method. With improvised sheet music, it was more difficult for her to learn the violin, but with the book, the lesson went better.
