Our new thin woofers have a depth of only 3.25", but don't let their size fool you, these woofers are big on bass. We tasked our engineers with the challenging job of building a slim woofer that embodies PowerBass's reputation for outstanding performance and excellent value.
Starting with a composite frame made of polycarbonate/glass fibers, we built a basket that is stronger than steel and lighter than cast aluminum. Our unique cone is more durable and robust than paper, able to withstand abuse from deep bass in a small enclosure. By adding a sturdy plastic rubber surround and a ventilated 2-inch voice coil, we managed to create a woofer that is capable of playing loudly in tight spaces.
