    Personally, I preferred to put the lid upside down, as I show in the photos, so I wouldn’t have to put chains to keep the lid standing upright when I’m grilling (as I read in some comments). It’s not useful to me for opening beer, while as a lid holder when it opens, it is much more useful for me!!! So far I have grilled 2 times and it has suited me better than any other, in all these years of barbeque!!!!! I want to thank the users in the comments who mention that they put cat litter in it; it really has much less to no flame on the lit coals while grilling!!! Very useful tip!!!
