    • I compare them to the Mares Frontier that I had for over a decade.
      1) At least 1 size bigger. I used to wear 44-45 and I went for 46-47 for the same comfort.
      2) They are not very stiff (I am talking about the XWing pro and not the regular ones, the only difference is in stiffness—the pros are stiffer) because in the water they seem to behave quite flexibly.
      3) They are not tiring compared to the Frontier and they definitely have more thrust with the same feeling (the effort does not change).
      4) I don't know how much more expensive fins have become, but the €130 is €90 more expensive than the corresponding Frontier and the difference is not huge... it is significant but I don't know if they are worth the extra €90.
      5) I wouldn't go for anything else. I treated the Frontier very harshly for over 12 years (I would forget to wash them, they stayed in the sun, etc.) and they broke because I hit them on rocks, not because they tore... so I went with Mares again due to experience... some Seac Sub I had tore at the foot after 3 years with the same treatment.
Get them if you have the money, they are amazing and as soft as they should be and not tiring (they feel like short fins) but perform like long ones... they are longer than the corresponding XIFIAS and definitely of higher quality but also €50+ more expensive... For me, they are worth it... the Xifias are less flexible and definitely more tiring for the same use...

Soft and quite comfortable. Just what you need for deep diving or even for spearfishing.
