I give it four stars solely due to the above average acidity it produces only in ristretto. In cappuccino, it is an amazing blend, very smooth and delicate in flavor. In a French press, it doesn't have acidity, only flavor and aftertaste, so you can enjoy it. Perhaps I would have liked this one a little more roasted. Overall, it is a coffee that I will choose again, superior to other major brands priced at 20+ euros per kilo. For espresso, which is mainly what interests me, I will try it again with a coarser grind, as I ground it to an extra fine cut, which may have caused the slightly elevated acidity.
Βάζω τέσσερα αστέρια καθαρά και μόνο λόγω της παραπάνω του μετρίου οξύτητας που βγάζει μόνο στο ristretto. Σε καπουτσίνο είναι εκπληκτικό χαρμάνι, πολύ "smooth & delicate" γεύση, σε φρέντο δε βγάζει οξύτητα αλλά μόνο γεύση και επίγευση οπότε τον ευχαριστιέσαι. Ίσως να ήθελα τον συγκεκριμένο λίγο παραπάνω καβουρδισμένο. Γενικά, είναι ένας καφές που θα τον ξαναπροτιμήσω, ανώτερος από άλλους μεγάλων brand στα 20+ ευρώ/κιλό. Για το εσπρέσο που με ενδιαφέρει κυρίως, θα το ξαναδοκιμάσω με πιο χοντρό κόψιμο, καθώς το έκοψα σε extra fine cut οπότε γι΄αυτό ίσως και η λίγο ανεβασμένη οξύτητα.
Exceptional coffee for espresso or filter (for cappuccino, you might need something with a darker roast), not bitter, not sour, quite balanced with a close roasting date (around 20 days, indicated on the package) and medium roast. The price per kilo (18) cannot be compared to freshly roasted ones (30-35), while the taste is very close to them.
The only negative thing I have to mention is that the price per kilo, if you buy the 250/500g packages, is much higher (24 instead of 18), a price that does not justify the cost of the packaging.
