1. It is NOT light-colored, personally I don't mind. It is somewhat khaki.
2. It came in plastic wrap with 4 metal clamps, nothing like the photo.
3. In a test with a torch lighter it glows but does not burn. With my finger on the other side of the tape, it took a few seconds to feel heat, which means it does insulate, but obviously it doesn't work miracles.
It seems to do what it promises at a good price.
