One issue it has, which is also the reason I took away one star from the rating, is that it does not function smoothly with any memory card.

Initially, I had bought a new Kodak microSD, it worked smoothly for half a day, then it told me that it could not detect the memory card.

Later, I researched it and saw that it is recommended to use a memory card from those that have been tested to work smoothly with this specific product (they are mentioned on the official website of the product).

I bought one of those, and since then it works perfectly, without any issues.

Generally poor quality, but specifically since they were used for diving (two identical ones were purchased), they took in water and stopped working after a few uses. Unfortunately, I bought the most useless sj4000 camera and its quality in photos and videos is all distorted. I asked not to receive it and they do not accept it. Useless, keep your money away...

I bought it as a gift for my husband who is a hunter. He still complains about not having a Greek menu and having to press a button twice in the app to start the video (this can be fixed with a setting). Other than that, it's a good camera for its price now (bought for 85 euros). The video quality is good but not for night shooting.

If you want to do live stream video and you need more than one cheap hd, here you are. If you want, you can take it on vacation with an underwater selfie stick for underwater shooting. If you want a dashcam to capture future accidents, it also works. However, its menu is not user-friendly.

I have it for many years, maybe even 10. I mainly use it for diving and as a dashcam in the car.
Its plastics have oxidized and it sticks wherever you touch it. The battery swelled and the casing opened. It was good while it lasted, and at a good price, but the build quality is terrible.

Absolute fail...the camera has 2017 software, which for a high-end device is simply ancient. However, the biggest problem is that it freezes when you record a video and requires a restart or battery removal to start again, until it inevitably freezes again. And of course, anything you have recorded until the freeze, which happens even in 15 seconds, is not saved. Truly, I made a huge mistake believing that, since I know I'm paying a small amount and I don't have truly high demands, at least it would simply work!

I bought it in 2015 to shoot underwater videos in the Maldives. Since then, every year I shoot videos in the water during summer vacations.

I also bought an extra battery with a charger and a floating stick so it doesn't sink. They all served me incredibly well.

The quality of the underwater videos is amazing. The functionality is also very good.

Other than that, I prefer my mobile phone. No need to talk about photos...

I have had one for 4 years now, it works flawlessly and I am very satisfied, especially with the underwater videos. So I bought two more as gifts. Out of those, one had a problem with the side buttons from the beginning and was returned. Overall, it is worth its money and in this price range, I would choose it again.

For the money, it is incredible. It pulls well underwater, above the engine, even at night when the space is well lit. The battery is satisfactory. For those who write negative comments, understand that there is no better option for this price. I highly recommend it.

If I were told to compare it to a GoPRO, I would give it 2 stars (of course it would be unfair). However, evaluating it purely based on its price... I give it 4 stars. Very honest and commendable. The photos it takes are typical. But as I said, it is an action camera for videos... not for photos. Perhaps the most decent proposal for the lowest entry level in the action cam category.

Following the positive comments I read, from previous buyers, I chose it with some reservation about the stabilizer and the nighttime brightness in shooting. Don't even think about it...whatever I say will be insufficient...I really didn't expect it to be this good...I come from go pro but since it broke, I didn't want to spend that much money again...literally, the camera is so close to the one I had...the sjcam did a little miracle...a durable camera with a powerful battery, perfect videos and photos for only 50 euros...I also bought an additional oem battery for 10 euros and I never run out of recording...don't think about it, you won't regret it, buy it.

Easy to use, good quality for its price, very good video quality, average in photos and night shots, but it is made for video, it is excellent and definitely worth its money.

Second camera I acquired after the elephone explorer, clearly better with solid construction, impeccable video quality even at night with the support of a flashlight in the dark captures perfectly. The antishaking is satisfactory for shooting on land and for underwater shooting I have to say the best. With two extra batteries, you can play hard. It cost me 47 euros and it was the best purchase I have made by far, worth every penny and even a little more.

I have it for 3 years. I only have good things to say about this economic proposal. For those who complain about the sound, it is expected in all cameras with underwater housing like the GoPro, the solution is to put the other provided back cover and the sound comes out better. Also, the image quality is much higher than YouTube video quality because in its processing, for data economy reasons, it significantly reduces the quality. Don't confuse it with sponsored GoPro videos... compare amateur videos and you will realize that yes, it is inferior but also about 300 euros cheaper.

Conclusion: prefer it over any non-branded Chinese product, even if it's more expensive.

I bought it about 2 years ago. I haven't used any go pro (I think they don't have a screen) but the sj 4000 wifi has a 1.5'' screen which gives it a great advantage in shooting. Initially, the 900ma battery lasted for 30 minutes, but now it only lasts a few minutes (I have 2 new ones). The screen turns off after a few minutes to save energy. Changing the battery is a difficult task due to the latch on the cover. Very satisfactory footage during the day, but low quality at night. Very good ergonomics, many settings, and accessories in the package. It's worth its money.

After a week of use, I can say that it is worth its money. The video quality is good, the construction is meticulous and sturdy, and it includes all the necessary components.

Very good camera. I use it as a dashcam. At first, I had a little difficulty finding a way to attach it to the windshield, but in the end, I didn't need to attach it there. It fit into the sun visor mount, which is very good because the base folds and hides the camera, so I don't need to constantly put it on and take it off.

Two things that someone who will use it as a dashcam should pay attention to are that it requires a fast memory card of at least 32GB and a power supply of 2 amps, otherwise it won't work as a dashcam automatically.

One thing that I slightly regret is not getting it with wifi, so when I need a video, I have to remove it.

I bought this camera in May 2016. It is very good in terms of quality for its price. For the purpose I wanted it, I didn't need the wifi, so I chose this one, Enduro and Motocross. I am very satisfied so far. The battery seems a bit difficult to insert and it may not fit well directly into the slots, but it's a minor issue (or maybe I just don't know how to insert it yet). Also, the buttons with the protective-waterproof cover are hard, but I THINK that's how it is in all cameras of this price range.

Attention(!) when I first wrote, the microphone was disabled and it didn't record sound, I had to adjust it from the sound settings. Don't let anyone else lose the sound either.

So, I recommend it for a cheap and good quality camera for those who don't want to spend a lot.

The camera is great, with many features (anti shaking, hdr, iso, motion detect, car mode), a wide-angle lens of 170, the wifi is very good, excellent photos, and it performs very well at night, even the anti shaking which I admit I didn't expect.
Additionally, all accessories for mounting are included, as well as a second battery since one won't last you, especially if you're using the wifi.
Oh, and don't forget it costs 150 euros, and if you buy it from abroad it's 90, so we're always talking about value for money, although I believe it can compete even with the GoPro HERO3+ Silver under certain conditions.
The buttons require a lot of pressure, and if you're in the mountains at -10 degrees, then there might be an issue.
Also, check for the sj5000 and be careful with the fakes, I made a mistake with a Greek store and I had to go through a lot until they replaced it.
