The base with the cards for Pattern Blocks familiarizes children with the use of geometric shapes through the completion of the hexagon by combining various shapes, filling in the colorless shapes of the card with the corresponding plastic Pattern Block shapes, and completing the gaps with plastic shapes.

The product consists of a hexagonal base with a plastic lid and 9 double-sided cards and one white card for free play.

• Give the children the hexagonal cards and the plastic Pattern Blocks and ask them to place them in the correct position on the card.
• Give the children a hexagonal card and ask them to draw the outline on white paper and cut it out. Then ask them to cut it into smaller shapes and color them. They can recombine any pieces they want and design a different shape.
• They can cut a hexagon in half and fill the two halves with Pattern Blocks so that they are symmetrical.
