Two decades have passed since the Demonic Lords, Diablo, Mephisto, and Baal, ravaged and desecrated the world of Sanctuary, corrupting humanity with their diabolical presence. However, for those who fought the Prime Evil, the memories of these events are slow to fade.

When Deckard Cain returns to the ruins of the Tristram Cathedral, searching for clues to help him defeat new stirrings of Evil, a fiery harbinger of destruction falls from the sky, crashing into the same ground where Diablo once made his appearance. This fire from the sky will awaken the Ancient Evil and summon the heroes of Sanctuary to once again defend the mortal world against the relentless forces of the Burning Hells.

    I recently started the game, having played very few others in the series. We started playing it together every Friday and finished the story on normal difficulty after about 20 hours of gameplay. It was a pleasant game, we progressed linearly without paying much attention to the dialogues, but focused more on full exploration and loot.

    Normal difficulty is the first of the 4 stages, and by completing one stage, the next one is unlocked, providing a new opportunity for adventure. The variety is complemented by 9 difficulty levels and 5 character types.

    TLDR; a pleasant RPG adventure game, with action and item collection as its main weapons, with the great advantage of playing locally in co-op or up to four players online.
