The city of Tokyo is under the regime of a terroristic monarchy! The people, plagued by demons, begin to burst into flames, leading to the creation of a special firefighting team: the Fire Force, ready to intervene at any moment to combat spontaneous combustion wherever it may occur.

But the team is about to gain a very unique addition: Shinra, a boy who has the unique power to run at rocket speed, leaving behind the infamous "devil footprints" (and destroying his shoes in the process).

Can the Fire Force discover the source of this strange phenomenon and stop it? Or will the city burn to ashes first?
