Maha Pengiri originally comes from Java (Indonesia), but is now cultivated in Southeast Asia, primarily in India. The ORGANIC citronella essential oil is obtained from the leaves of Maha Pengiri through the process of steam distillation. It has a strong characteristic bitter smell, accompanied by a distinct lemon fragrance. The essential oil easily dissolves in alcohol, vegetable oils, and essential oils, while it does not dissolve in water.
