Owner of the 256GB edition since May of last year. You pay a bit more, but in the long run it will cost you the same as one from Chinese manufacturers.

2. The screen is pretty good, without being top-notch, while the SD 888 helps us understand those who bought the S21 a year ago with the Exynos.

3. Photos and videos are exceptional in good lighting. Things get difficult in the dark.

4. The company has promised software upgrades until early 2026 and security upgrades until early 2027.

5. The battery easily lasts for several hours of screen time and Samsung takes care of its longevity with protection apps.

6. The earpiece and reception are very good. Data transfer is quite fast and it's worth getting an unlimited data package as mobile telephony in Greece is much faster than wired network services.

7. It's expensive and good. Not as much as Pixel and Samsung's flagships, but much higher than the corresponding implementations that have the title of flagship killers.

8. Anyone who wants the second-best Android experience (since Pixel 7 and beyond, Google has made a big leap) will get Samsung and this particular model, which still holds its value since its release (taking into account the benefit from the gift).

I have it in my hands for a few days (coming from Galaxy A90 5G), but I bought it from another site cheaper, because it doesn't make sense to pay 600 euros for a mobile phone that doesn't even have a charger (no need to mention a case). The conclusions I have drawn are as follows:

-The price should be 450-500 at most, regardless of storage and memory.
-The fast charging takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes (from 2% to 100% it took me 1 hour and 7 minutes).
-During the first few days of using the device, I noticed that it heats up very easily and only cools down when I'm not using it. It reaches 22-25 and even 26 to 27 degrees during use, which I haven't figured out yet, as I have disabled 5G and everything else.
-Design-wise, it is good, I just wish the back was glass as it is more beautiful and doesn't leave many fingerprints (although it does leave some, but it doesn't bother me).
-The processor is very good, as I was looking for a model with exclusively Snapdragon processor, since I haven't heard the best things about Exynos.
-The battery has disappointed me, as it doesn't last even a day. When it is below 10% and you listen to music at a high volume, it shuts down (annoying, no doubt). It is truly surprising in 2023 to have mobile phones that do not have batteries equivalent to expectations and what they offer. For example, it is not logical for a 5G device with 4K video recording capability and 8 GB RAM to have a 4500 mAh battery. No matter how much I tried to save or reduce usage, the battery barely lasts a day. In fact, it has lasted me 1.5 days a few times, but I think it could have had a 5000 mAh battery instead of 4500 mAh and easily last 2 days (which is ideal for me, as I had a record of 2 days and 2 hours on my old phone). Because in some instances, the battery drops a little abruptly when it heats up, without necessarily doing anything demanding with the device.
-Another thing I noticed is that when the device is turned on, it doesn't display the full model, but only "Samsung Galaxy," and it takes a long time to open (about 30-40 seconds), which I consider a negative aspect.
-The calls are excellent thanks to Cosmote's WiFi Calling.
-The speaker did not disappoint me much, but it could have better sound quality.
-Whether it is fast or not depends on whether one uses the device at 60 or 120 Hz. When, for example, battery saving mode is enabled, it goes to 60, which means that sometimes it will be fast and other times slower.

Overall, I am satisfied though.

Edit 5/28/23: There is a serious issue with the battery! The phone heats up to around 40 degrees when I'm on Facebook or Messenger, causing the battery to drop abruptly as you can see in the photos, and it doesn't even last a day. Utterly unacceptable for a 600 euro phone. I might switch to the S23 immediately

[-] Battery life is terrible. With two hours of conservative use (power saving mode, mobile data disabled, removed bloatware), it only reached 60%. Huawei and OnePlus with superior and therefore more power-hungry specs can last almost twice as long with almost double the usage.
[-] Overheating (in power saving mode) during calls, taking photos/videos, navigating with maps, and even charging (whether slow or fast). Those who play games with the processor at full power should have a fire extinguisher on hand.
[-] Video recording is limited to only 60fps, whether in UHD quality (somewhat acceptable) or FHD quality (completely unreasonable in 2022).
[-] It can only store up to 3 fingerprints.
[-] Fingerprint recognition (using an optical sensor instead of an ultrasonic sensor) has an unbelievable delay of almost 2 seconds and only works if the fingers are placed exactly where they should be.
[-] The advertised optical zoom is actually hybrid, meaning it's a combination of optical and digital.
[-] It doesn't have an infrared blaster for controlling devices via infrared.
[-] The package doesn't include a charger, HDMI adapter, headphone adapter, protective case, or even a factory screen protector, despite being released at an initial price of around 900 euros.
[-] Certain phone functions (such as Smart Call) are locked by Samsung in European versions and can only be activated by changing the firmware, risking the warranty.
[-] The Secure Folder (which supports encryption/locking of files and apps with a different pin) would be a positive feature, but it doesn't allow the use of NFC (although it allows the use of the camera, which means it's technically possible to communicate with sensors and Samsung simply got lazy in incorporating them all), so you can't lock banking apps or Google Pay there to protect contactless payments (in case a thief forces you to unlock your phone).

[!] The phone on which the tests were conducted was purchased from a well-known Greek chain (i.e., not a parallel import) and has CSC: EUX (meaning it runs firmware intended for countries within the EEA).

The owner of the aforementioned mobile phone had not bought a Samsung for many years, so I don't know what progress it has made compared to previous models, so I will compare it to the Huawei P40 Pro, which I was satisfied with, but life without GSM is difficult. So, the screen is excellent with very good colors and perfect resolution, after all, it is Samsung's strong point. The camera is exceptional, especially during the day when all mobile phones take perfect photos..... At night, it certainly does not reach the level of Huawei, but it is not bad, you just need to have a very steady hand. The video is very good. The battery lasts for 1 day without heavy use, so you need to be on standby with a charger or power bank. One downside is that it is slow to charge, especially compared to Huawei, where I left it to charge until I made coffee and got dressed and it lasted me all day. Now, as they say, it raises the temperature and you can fry an egg on the phone, at least in mine it is not true. It heats up on the back, but nothing scary. In conclusion, the phone is worth its money, especially for those who do not want to spend a fortune on a mobile phone.

The device is exceptional, it is complete in every way, detailed now.

3. User experience is completely smooth without any lag, the 120hz makes a difference and the One UI is quite balanced.
4. Light and quite convenient to hold.
5. Speaking of the processor, we're talking about the Snapdragon 888, last year's top-of-the-line, nothing else is needed.
6. Sometimes the colors in the photos are a bit too saturated, but overall they are excellent (speaking of a mobile phone). In terms of video, it's amazing, especially with 4k HDR, the quality is very good, as is the stabilization when holding it in your hand, it does a very good job.
7. Waterproof and with above-average sound.
8. Now, as for the battery, it's fine, it easily lasts a day, I was expecting it to be much worse, no issues though.
9. Unfortunately, there is no charger in the package, and if you don't already have at least a 15-watt one, it will take a while to charge.
10. Personally, at the price it is now, I consider it the most complete device for 2022, there is no competition, there are certainly better ones, but for me, they don't justify the 300€+ (from a practical point of view). Samsung has done a great job with the implementation.
Update:
After 5 full months, the device is working flawlessly without any lag, just like the first day. Everything else I wrote still holds true.

After a lot of online research, I ended up with this particular phone and there was no way I would regret the purchase. I am a loyal Huawei supporter, but the next purchase had to have Google services (office apps, game saves synchronization, in app purchases). However, I do miss the Huawei menu and options (even for something as simple as an app lock, I had to download an app on Samsung...). The secure folder is a good idea, but I just wanted a lock, I'm not hiding any government secrets.

I rejected the S21 due to its small screen, small battery, Exynos processor, and one year less of updates compared to the larger but not bulky FE. As for the S22, I wouldn't pay the extra money just to get a battery at 3700mAh. The S21 FE has the right size, is optimized for Snapdragon (I haven't had any overheating issues so far), the back is of good quality (doesn't feel plastic), and anyway, don't we all use phone cases? What would I do with glass on the back? The camera is excellent even in low light conditions, the fingerprint sensor works fine even with the glass I put on the screen (just increase the sensitivity of the sensor from the settings and of course re-register the fingerprint after putting on the glass).

I didn't mind the missing variable refresh rate because I read that it creates issues with significant frame drops in games. I bought a 120hz display to see a 120hz display, and if I want, I manually set which apps to play at 60hz. The Samsung silicone case is excellent, and in combination with the Spigen glass that I installed myself, the phone has a Batman appearance ;-)

What would I like from Samsung?
- A charger, because they charge me 6 euros for it, it should be included.
- My battery has degraded, but it's the first time at 120hz, and I assume that's how it is now. I would obviously like the 5000mAh, but the S21+ is huge, has Exynos, and has one year behind it. For Xiaomi, I read about functional issues and a bad camera, for OnePlus, various bugs and bad service.
- A LED indicator for notifications that stays on, the perimeter light is nice, but it disappears in a few seconds.
- The USB-C cable on both ends is downright stupid!! I had to buy another authentic USB-A to connect to the computer and the car.
- Don't make the mistake of not getting an authentic cable. Although a braided Baseus worked to my pleasant surprise, other 5A cables only worked for charging, not data transfer.

I was very confused because I wanted a small phone that was also powerful. I don't like big phones. At first, I was drawn to the Asus Zenfone 8, but then I decided to go for the Samsung S21 FE so that I could have updates for a while. The reason I chose it was because I prefer Snapdragon processors over Exynos, and because of the 4500 mAh battery. Otherwise, I would have gone for the S22, but with a 3700 mAh battery and an Exynos processor, I decided against it. After using it for a week, I am satisfied with everything. I got it with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, but I would have been fine with 126GB. It's not as small as I imagined, but the case I put on it made it thicker. However, the battery life is not as good as I expected, even though I've done everything necessary to conserve it. I mostly use Wi-Fi instead of 5G, and only have three apps open at a time, with GPS always on. I take it off the charger at 1:00 PM and by 3:00 AM it's at 11%. Fast charging takes 1 hour and 20 minutes for a full charge. I can't say for sure if I made the best choice between the Zenfone 8, Samsung S22, or this one, but I'm satisfied with everything else, including the price I found on Skroutz. Other stores sell the 8GB version for €730. Update 16/3/22: I just realized that when I lowered the screen refresh rate from 120Hz to 60Hz, the battery life improved significantly. However, it's a shame because you lose some of the screen quality. The problem is that there are no automatic switching options, so you have to do it manually.

I have had the phone for only 1 month and what I have to say so far is that it is top in everything. The battery, the eternal problem of smartphones, lasts easily a day with moderate use in this device. With intense use, if you charge it in the morning, it won't last until the evening. That is, if you are on social media all the time, watch a video, and generally play with the phone, it needs charging by the evening. But overall, I expected the battery to last longer. It's not the device's fault; everything nowadays has the same issue. The photos and videos have amazing resolutions and zoom. In all the other S series phones I had, they pixelated when zoomed in. Also, the phone is very fast. The fingerprint sensor is quick, as is the face unlock. Even in low light, it recognizes the face quickly. The plastic on the back, which everyone talks about, is matte and doesn’t look that cheap. Besides, we all use a case, and that solves the problem. The screen is worth every penny, both in colors and in the feel when you write a message, you know... I don't use a screen protector because I want to enjoy that feeling. The size of the device is satisfactory. More inches would be an issue with one hand. I got the 256GB memory because it doesn't take an SD card. It was €70 more than the 128GB memory. I was a holder of the S9 Plus, and of course, the change is huge. The sound is crystal clear! Now time will tell, but the whole S series I had was always worth it. The price is a bit steep, but it came with the Galaxy Buds 2 as a gift, and that balances the purchase. I recommend it, but the S22 has come out, although it doesn't have huge differences from the S21 FE. And of course, its price is higher. All of this concerns a medium user. The processor in the S21 is Snapdragon 888, top-notch. I recommend it without a second thought. Update 9-3-22. The battery lasts longer than it did at first. It probably needed to settle after more charges. I also charge it up to 85%. There is an option to stop at 85. The battery lasts longer this way in the long run. UPDATE 13-11-24 the phone is still top 2+ years later. It has never lagged, and I have not faced any issues with continuous use. The fingerprint sensor is excellent; it doesn’t delay at all! The battery, of course, like with all devices, loses performance and needs more charges throughout the day.
