I bought it last October, in beige color, and I remain very satisfied! It is a purchase investment that is worth making both in terms of appearance, as its design makes it a jewel for the kitchen space, and in terms of price, construction quality, capacity, functionality, and operation. Specifically, it is a fairly economical refrigerator in terms of power consumption. That's why I believe that the fact that it is FNF (Full No Frost) is also important, which means that it does not accumulate ice in both the freezer and the refrigeration compartments. It automatically defrosts on its own, and for this reason, it only needs to be deactivated from its operation for a few hours, 1-2 times a year. The water from the automatic defrosting is collected in a container located at the back and bottom of the refrigerator, which then evaporates. There are no water leaks on the floor, etc., as is the case with manual defrosting. Even though it is FNF, this is necessary. It needs to "rest" and perform its automatic defrosting 1-2 times a year. The experts emphasized this to me, it is also stated in the user manual, and it applies to all FNF refrigerators/freezer combos. It is not completely silent, but the sound it makes during operation is very discreet and does not cause annoyance. It has 5 cooling levels for refrigeration and 2 for freezing, so you can adjust it according to your preferences and the season. It is a refrigerator that, in general, has ample space inside, both in depth and width and height. It easily meets the needs of a family of three. Its plastic parts are made of solid, high-quality plastic. Its shelves are made of thick, unbreakable glass with plastic protectors around them. The door seals and fits perfectly when closed. It "locks" for 1 minute after closing. It includes an egg tray and an ice tray. There is a transparent sticker on the outside that protects it from possible scratches. It is very easy to clean both inside and outside with a soft microfiber cloth dipped in water with vinegar and baking soda. The only negative thing I found is in the two lower compartments, which are located on the refrigerator door and are for water containers, wine bottles, juice packages, etc. They "slide" somewhat at the bottom, which may cause smaller containers, pitchers, bottles, and other beverage packages to fall when opening or closing the refrigerator. There is a solution! I placed a thin plastic storage container in the larger of the two compartments, covering part of its space. This way, there is no chance of anything falling, and all sizes are arranged perfectly. The refrigerator has a 2-year warranty with the purchase receipt. The official representative of the Robin company in Greece is located in Thessaloniki. Finally, I would like to mention that the same design is also available in the form of a fridge-freezer combo. Its price is approximately the same as that of the refrigerator, but I believe that (because I saw it up close), although it appears larger compared to the refrigerator, it somewhat compromises on capacity. Also, the fridge-freezer combo is NF (No Frost), meaning it does not accumulate ice in the refrigeration compartment but does accumulate ice in the freezer. This may require manual defrosting.
Summarizing: if you are looking for a refrigerator in a retro style and design, with FNF function, everything I mentioned earlier in general, and a preferential price, this one is ideal for you! I say this based on the experience I had until I reached the refrigerator market. I had a lot of difficulty! I did research for almost 2 years until I made a decision. Otherwise, you can go for the retro refrigerator series from the SMEG company, which, however, costs 2000€ and above for all the amenities. In the future, I would also like to have my SMEG! :-P On the other hand, the retro refrigerator series from other companies such as Morris, Crown, Finlux (related companies the last two) etc., in this specific case, are only... appearance! They seem value for money, but in reality, you will waste your money. For example, the refrigerators from the retro Morris series are unreasonably more expensive than those from the retro Robin series. I had seen them up close when I did my market research (they were actually the first ones I went to see) and they disappointed me both in terms of construction quality and in terms of capacity, space ergonomics, functionality, operating systems, etc. Long and narrow, small and without any depth inside, without even being NF. Of course, from what I saw, some of the models from this series were released in a new "improved" version that has the NF function (not the FNF...) and some extra capacity. Their prices? Prohibitive! I mean, almost 1000€ for the refrigerators and over 1000€ for the fridge-freezers! The same and worse apply to the companies Crown, Finlux, etc., and you can see it from the reviews that have been written. I am always talking about this specific case of a refrigerator, as in other styles and designs of refrigerators or even other white appliances/kitchen appliances, everything may be fine with these companies.
Το αγόρασα τον Οκτώβριο που μας πέρασε, σε μπεζ χρώμα και παραμένω πολύ ευχαριστημένη! Είναι μια επένδυση αγοράς που αξίζει να πραγματοποιήσει κανείς τόσο από άποψη εμφάνισης, μιας και το design του το κάνει να ‘ναι ένα στολίδι για τον χώρο της κουζίνας, όσο κι από άποψη τιμής, ποιότητας κατασκευής, χωρητικότητας, λειτουργικότητας και λειτουργίας. Πιο αναλυτικά, είναι ένα αρκετά οικονομικό ψυγείο όσον αφορά την κατανάλωση ρεύματος. Γι’ αυτό, πιστεύω ότι παίζει ρόλο και το γεγονός ότι είναι FNF (Full No Frost) που πάει να πει ότι δε μαζεύει πάγο ούτε στην κατάψυξη αλλά ούτε και στη συντήρηση. Κάνει αυτόματη γενική απόψυξη από μόνο του και γι’ αυτό τον λόγο χρειάζεται απλώς, 1-2 φορές τον χρόνο, να απενεργοποιείται από τη λειτουργία του για κάποιες ώρες. Τα νερά της αυτόματης απόψυξης, μαζεύονται σ’ ένα δοχείο που είναι στο πίσω και κάτω μέρος του ψυγείου, τα οποία με τη σειρά τους εξατμίζονται. Δεν τρέχουν δηλ. νερά στο πάτωμα κλπ, όπως συμβαίνει στη χειροκίνητη απόψυξη. Τι κι αν είναι FNF, αυτό είναι αναγκαίο να γίνεται. Θέλει 1-2 φορές τον χρόνο να «ξεκουράζεται» και να κάνει την αυτόματη απόψυξή του. Μου το τόνισαν οι ειδικοί αυτό, το γράφει και στον οδηγό χρήσης κι είναι κάτι που ισχύει για όλα τα FNF ψυγεία/ψυγειοκαταψύκτες. Δεν είναι εντελώς αθόρυβο αλλά ο ήχος που κάνει, κατα τη διάρκεια της λειτουργίας του, είναι πολύ διακριτικός κι έτσι δεν προκαλεί ενόχληση. Έχει 5 βαθμίδες ψύξης στη συντήρηση και 2 στην κατάψυξη για να το ρυθμίζετε όπως εσείς προτιμάτε, ανάλογα πάντα και με την κάθε εποχή του χρόνου. Είναι ένα ψυγείο που, γενικά, έχει άνετο χώρο στο εσωτερικό του, τόσο σε βάθος όσο και σε πλάτος και ύψος. Καλύπτει άνετα τις ανάγκες μιας τριμελούς οικογένειας. Τα πλαστικά του μέρη είναι από συμπαγές πλαστικό άριστης ποιότητας. Τα ράφια του είναι από χοντρό άθραυστο τζάμι με πλαστικά προστατευτικά γύρω γύρω. Τα λάστιχα στις πόρτες του βεντουζάρουν και εφαρμόζουν άψογα όταν κλείνει. «Κλειδώνει» για 1’ αφού κλείσει. Συμπεριλαμβάνονται μια αβγοθήκη και μια παγοθήκη. Εξωτερικά υπάρχει κολλημένο διάφανο αυτοκόλλητο το οποίο προστατεύει από τυχόν γδαρσίματα. Καθαρίζεται πανεύκολα εσωτερικά και εξωτερικά μ’ ένα μαλακό πανάκι μικροϊνών βουτηγμένο σε νερό με ξίδι και σόδα. Το μόνο αρνητικό που βρήκα είναι στις δύο κάτω θήκες, που βρίσκονται στην πόρτα του ψυγείου κι είναι για δοχεία νερού, μπουκάλια κρασιού, συσκευασιές χυμού κ.α. «Χάσκουν» κάπως στο κάτω μέρος τους με αποτέλεσμα, τα μικρότερα σε μέγεθος δοχεία, κανάτες, μπουκάλια και άλλες συσκευασίες ροφημάτων, να υπάρχει ενδεχόμενο να πέσουν κατά το άνοιγμα ή το κλείσιμο του ψυγείου. Υπάρχει λύση! Τοποθέτησα, στη μεγαλύτερη από τις δύο θήκες, ένα λεπτό πλαστικό δοχείο αποθήκευσης καλύπτοντας ένα μέρος του χώρου της. Με αυτόν τον τρόπο και δεν υπάρχει περίπτωση να πέσει κάτι και τακτοποιούνται μια χαρά όλα τα μεγέθη. Το ψυγείο έχει 2 χρόνια εγγύηση με την απόδειξη αγοράς. Ο επίσημος αντιπρόσωπος της εταιρείας Robin στην Ελλάδα βρίσκεται στη Θεσσαλονίκη. Τέλος, να πω ότι, το ίδιο σχέδιο υπάρχει και σε μορφή ψυγειοκαταψύκτη. Η τιμή του είναι περίπου ίδια με του ψυγείου, αλλά θεωρώ πως (επειδή τον είδα κι εκείνον από κοντά), παρόλο που φαίνεται μεγαλύτερος σε σχέση με το ψυγείο, «κλέβει» κάπως στη χωρητικότητα. Επίσης, ο ψυγειοκαταψύκτης είναι NF (No Frost), δηλ. δε μαζεύει πάγο στη συντήρηση αλλά μαζεύει πάγο στην κατάψυξη. Αυτό μπορεί και να σημαίνει ότι θα χρειάζεται χειροκίνητη απόψυξη.
Ανακεφαλαιώνοντας: αν είστε σε αναζήτηση ψυγείου σε retro στιλ και design, με FNF λειτουργία, όλα όσα προανέφερα γενικότερα και προνομιακή τιμή, το συγκεκριμένο είναι το ιδανικό για εσάς! Τα λέω αυτά με βάση την εμπειρία που είχα μέχρι να φτάσω στην αγορά ψυγείου. Δυσκολεύτηκα πάρα πολύ! Έκανα έρευνα σχεδόν 2 χρόνια μέχρι να καταλήξω. Αλλιώς, μετά, πηγαίνετε στη retro σειρά ψυγείων της εταιρείας SMEG που, όμως, είναι από 2000€ και πάνω τα κόστη για όλες τις ανέσεις. Μελλοντικά, θα το ηθελα και το SMEG μου!:-P Από την άλλη, οι retro σειρές ψυγείων σε άλλες εταιρείες όπως: Morris, Crown, Finlux (συγγενείς εταιρείες οι δυο τελευταίες) κλπ, για τη συγκεκριμένη περίπτωση, είναι μόνο… εμφάνιση! Φαίνονται value for money αλλά, στην πραγματικότητα, θα πετάξετε τα χρήματά σας. Π.χ. τα ψυγεία της retro σειράς Morris είναι αδικαιολόγητα πιο ακριβά από αυτά της retro σειράς Robin. Τα είχα δει κι αυτά από κοντά όταν έκανα την έρευνα αγοράς μου (ήταν, μάλιστα, τα πρώτα που πήγα να δω) και με απογοήτευσαν τόσο από άποψη ποιότητας κατασκεύης, όσο κι από άποψη χωρητικότητας, εργονομίας χώρου, λειτουργικότητας, συστημάτων λειτουργίας κ.α. Μακρόστενα, μικρά και χωρίς καθόλου βάθος εσωτερικά, χωρίς να είναι έστω NF. Βέβαια, από ότι είδα, κάποια από τη συγκεκριμένη σειρά κυκλοφόρησαν σε νέα «βελτιωμένη» έκδοση που έχει τη λειτουργία NF (όχι, όμως, τη FNF…) και μια κάποια έξτρα χωρητικότητα. Οι τιμές τους; Απαγορευτικές! Δηλ. σχεδόν 1000€ τα ψυγεία και πάνω από 1000€ οι ψυγειοκαταψύκτες! Τα ίδια και χειρότερα ισχύουν και για τις εταιρείες Crown, Finlux κλπ και μπορείτε να τα διαπιστώσετε από τις κριτικές που έχουν γραφτεί. Μιλώ πάντα για τη συγκεκριμένη περίπτωση ψυγείου καθότι μπορεί σε άλλα στιλ και design ψυγείων ή και γενικότερα άλλων λευκών συσκευών/μικροσκευών να είναι όλα εντάξει σε αυτές τις εταιρείες.
