I bought the product in late September in order to take digital notes at my school (mainly) and after full use during the winter semester, I thought of doing this review.
Initially, the response of the Spen is immediate and you don't notice any delay in writing, and the Samsung Notes app is ideal for note-taking as it has endless possibilities (different pens, shapes, etc). Also, the Spen as a construction is quite lightweight, resulting in being able to write quite fast, and the writing is very smooth (the feeling of writing is like actually writing in a notebook due to the tip it has). As for the tips of the Spen, I would recommend buying replacements just in case (removing them is very easy, the replacements come with a suitable tool).
The processor is extremely fast and responds perfectly to multitasking, which I consider to be one of the strong points of the device, along with the Dex mode.
The screen is incredible (Samsung never disappoints with its Amoled screens), now I exclusively watch movies/series on the tablet that I used to watch on my phone/laptop. The sound is also borderline magical, especially if you have Dolby Atmos enabled.
The camera is quite satisfactory, considering the usage I have (taking board notes, video conferences, etc).
As for the battery, it lasts for 1 day with full use and charges quite quickly even with a 25W charger (it can charge up to 45W, but the charger is not included in the box as usual).
However, the fact that the Spen is included in the packaging is something very positive, as it is not obvious for all companies.
Also, Samsung offers 4 years of Android updates (so it will support up to Android 16) and 5 years of security updates.
The weight and dimensions of the device may seem a bit "awkward" at first, but with a case and after a few days, you get used to it and I could take notes upright with great ease without my hand getting tired.
It should be noted, of course, that the price at which the device is currently priced (~860€) is not a small amount and personally, I couldn't afford it. I bought the device for around ~650€, and I can say that for this price, it is worth it and more, and it has served me well for the purpose I bought it for.
It is also worth mentioning that I also have a Samsung phone, so the connectivity between them is incredible, in fact, even though I have the WiFi model, all calls and SMS come to the tablet (and I can answer and talk from it) as long as the devices are connected to the same WiFi network. And sending photos, videos, files from one device to another is a game with quick share. It is also important to mention Samsung Cloud, as whatever notes I take with the tablet, I have them on my phone through Samsung Notes.
Therefore, if someone is considering buying this particular tablet (and has the ability), either for a similar use to mine or not, I would recommend it 100% and they will not be disappointed (it is the perfect tool for productivity, especially in combination with Samsung devices but also with the corresponding Samsung keyboard).

Coming from an iPad 3 with many years of use, and having recently purchased the S22+, I thought it would be excessive to also get a Samsung tablet and spend as much money as I did for the phone, especially if I wouldn't use the tablet as much as the phone. So, I decided to buy a tablet from another well-known company (in workstations & laptops) with the exact same features, but with a smaller screen and a much lower price. I made a mistake! It had outdated stock Android 12 that couldn't even be updated, and a small screen. I immediately sold the tablet as soon as I bought it. I lost money, and the lesson I learned was that Samsung is the only way to go for everything. Truly, for everything. Yes, their premium products cost a bit more, but they have no comparison to anything else on the market. With the enjoyable One UI 5, Android 13, a large and incredible screen, and a very slim design, from the point where I thought I wouldn't use it much, my fingers practically don't leave it at home. The cherry on top is the pen that works with perfect responsiveness. Incredible interaction with the S22+ phone, a true ecosystem. Once again, congratulations to Samsung. Light years ahead.

3. Stylus 10/10 instant response and very comfortable.
4. Processor 7/10 fast but heats up easily! + It has crashed twice and restarted.
5. Software 7/10 Firstly, it may be because I come from the flawless Oxygen OS of OnePlus, but really for this price and flagship Android device, I would expect it to be at least as easy and trouble-free as Oxygen OS. Secondly, I did not expect to find so many pre-installed useless applications... Some are advertisements and some are from Samsung. It's not bad, but it's far from perfect.
6. Battery 8/10 it lasts a day of use but charging with a slow charger (since they don't give you the fast one) takes about 4 hours(!). And yes, I will judge it with this charger since they didn't give me another one.
7. Samsung Service 5/10 the free case arrived 20 days later...
8. Value 6/10 Yes, prices have gone up for everything, but at least at €950(!) I would like it to have no issues and at least have a fast charger included.

In summary, it is an amazing device but with several issues and at a very high price. I generally do not recommend buying it despite it being very good.

P.S. It is the first time I have bought a tablet and I really did not expect it to be so "useless" as a device. It is barely 10% laptop, which means it does almost none of the tasks that a laptop does, and 90% mobile, without the advantage of fitting in a pocket and being operable with one hand like a mobile phone. This is a problem because they run Android/iOS and not Windows/macOS.

Update 10/09/22

I can say that the software has significantly improved with the updates and has adapted quite well to make multitasking and usage easier. Also, the battery has improved a lot with AI and using it at 60hz, it lasts a very long time. I'm disappointed that I can't comfortably experience it at 120hz

Last time I had a tablet was about ten years ago when I ordered the Nexus 7 from America. Back then, we considered 7 inches excessive for a mobile phone and it fell into the tablet category. Nowadays, it's something ordinary. Having gone through many flagship Android and iOS smartphones, my opinion on the S8+ is:

---Build quality: Very good. I would say excellent. The metal gives a very nice, smooth feeling of sturdiness. It is very thin and light, in case anyone is wondering about the weight. It doesn't bend easily... no fear there.

---Display: Here, I don't think any special comments are needed. We're talking about a Samsung display, Amoled, 120Hz, with many settings to customize it to your liking. Immediate response to everything, with black being like ink since it's a turned-off pixel. Very bright with beautiful colors. A delight. (Netflix and Youtube play flawlessly)

---Sound: Sound by AKG... that's what it says on the back of the device. Two speakers on the right, and two on the left. Four in total, playing very loudly and with great quality. If not the best sound on a tablet, definitely among the top two or three. It doesn't disappoint in any case. It impressed me.

---Cameras: The rear cameras are not something that will impress you. They are there to do their job in case you need them, but they cannot be compared to the cameras on top smartphones. However, what will impress you is the front selfie camera, which is top-notch. You will have high-quality video calls and your caller will see you like they have never seen you before. Also, the Autoframing function is excellent, keeping you always in the center of the frame, and when it detects a second person, it zooms out to fit everyone and centers again.

---Battery: It easily lasts for 8+ hours of screen-on time (maybe even 10 in some cases), depending on your usage and the brightness and refresh rate settings of the screen. However, it won't leave you hanging. The fast charging feature at 45W is very nice. I have a 35W charger (from Samsung) and it charges from 8% to 100% in about 1 hour and 20 minutes. (I get around 8+ hours with several hours of Candy Crush, browsing, Duo video calls, and SPen usage)

---Spen: That's the main selling point of the tablet. Incredible, excellent. It will impress you with its responsiveness. It's like writing on paper. There is absolutely no latency. Countless possibilities, which of course I haven't discovered and used all of them yet. It's an amazing tool, especially in the hands of an artist or creator. It charges on the back of the device, where it magnetically attaches, in about 5 minutes and lasts for hours.

---Processor: Very fast. I have nothing to comment on. The top one in the Android market, it doesn't lag anywhere and responds perfectly. In all applications and games.

---Fingerprint sensor: It could be better, that's the truth. It doesn't have the quality of the S21 Ultra, for example, but it works okay. I should mention that its performance has improved quite a bit in the past few days and it is more accurate in fingerprint recognition and faster. There is also Face Unlock, but it's not as secure and more of a convenience feature.

---Operating system: I remember in the past on tablets, but also in the Android world in general, the operating system suffered in one crucial aspect. And that was long-term support. Fortunately, this has changed, as Samsung now offers 4 years of major operating system upgrades (meaning it will receive up to Android 16) and 5 years of security updates. So, there is no need to worry about that. As for the functionality of the operating system itself at the moment, if I were to rate it, I would give it a 9/10. It is significantly improved and well-crafted in many aspects, although not in all. There are some scattered flaws, but often the quick software updates cover them. Additionally, there needs to be even greater effort to adapt apps for larger screens, as some do not work in landscape mode. The truth is that this aspect still needs work. *** I would like to emphasize that the Samsung Dex function turns the tablet into a laptop, providing an experience very close to what you have on a desktop or laptop. Needless to say, it has no rival in multitasking. The app management on the screen is excellent.

---Price: with 950 euros, you get the top tablet on the market (in the world of Android). Yes... it has everything, it will cover you in everything, whether it's work or entertainment. Is it worth it? No. Not at this price. I consider a reasonable price to be around 700 euros. However, I know that in recent years, all devices are extremely overpriced.

I did not like at all the fact that there is no charger included in the package, especially considering the money mentioned above.
Also, the process you have to go through with Samsung Members to receive the free case from Samsung is not practical at all, as it may take you 2 weeks or even longer to receive it, and during that time, you will either have to leave the device completely exposed or be forced to buy a second case.

In conclusion, yes... it is a top-notch device. Very well-crafted and high-quality in many aspects. Perfect? Definitely not. Something needs to be done about the lack of a charger. It is something that bothers me a lot, especially in this price category...

Due to the fact that at the time of purchase it had just been launched and was not yet widely available in stock, I decided to get the basic version of the S8+ (12.4") 8/128 Gb in black and added a Samsung 256Gb microSD card. I also put on a 'basic' back cover (unfortunately black again), but all these are details in the end.

In one word, excellent. I use it for reading newspapers/magazines and books (in pdf format), studying and annotating shipbuilding drawings (again in pdf), and a little internet browsing. The stylus performs very well and I have been using both Samsung Notes and Noteshelf for note-taking and highlighting in pdf files. Both of these apps were already pre-installed.

I previously had an iPad Pro 12.9" (2nd gen.) which was comparatively much heavier. Any other tablet up to 11" that I have used feels small compared to the S8+. The S8 Ultra provides even more real estate, but it is not easy for travel or one-handed use (e.g. professional use in an office or outdoor space).

The lack of variety in suitable sleeves/back covers is a problem in Greece, although Samsung has at least made all their own book covers (with or without a keyboard) available for the S7+ and S7 FE series. Also, be aware that the keyboard book cover for the S7+ and S7 FE has a trackpad, while the 'new' book cover for the S8+ no longer has one - but both fit the S8+. Similarly, all Samsung book covers for the S7 fit the 11" S8.

I always keep any tablet I have in its own proper sleeve with a zipper, and for this reason, I bought an Adore June from Germany (€50). Within the 10 days until my AJ arrived, one afternoon my S8+ fell down and, despite being in a temporary, slightly larger sleeve, unfortunately, a small surface crack appeared on the screen (about 2.5cm long). Therefore, every tablet always needs a sleeve that fits it perfectly and has the right padding.

The speakers and overall sound quality are excellent. Connection and use of the Yubikey (USB-C/NFC type) were successful without any issues. Overall, highly recommended.
