I am commenting after I have completed its use.
(+) It lasted me a little over 2 years with full use as a desk and room lamp. Since I'm a night person, many days it could be on until the morning.
(~) Its warm, white color still works. At the moment, the cooler you set it, it gradually turns off, and the RGB doesn't work at all. Before that, for 2-3 weeks it flickered as if you were at a rave with a very fast rhythm and you had to turn it on and off 2-3 times or slowly increase it from the warm setting. I don't count these as negatives, just as an indication of how it slowly faded at the end.
(-) Its RGB has very low brightness!
(~) Its smart features are very average but functional!
Now a comparison with its successor, which I have for about a week, [Tapo L535E, 1055lm, about 30% higher price]:
#Although the Tapo has 70 more lumens (1055 vs 806), I was surprised at how little difference it made. Maybe I had gotten used to lower brightness as the Sonoff dimmed and thought the new one would light up like Holy Light and was disappointed. Now I haven't experimented much with the brightness and maybe the 70lm doesn't make a big difference, check it out. (edit: I looked into it a bit and indeed it's not a significant difference to the naked eye, especially if you don't put them side by side for comparison. Also, there are other features that affect perceived luminosity, e.g., how the rays are dispersed or concentrated, so it's a bit simplistic to compare based on lm alone)
I also notice the warm white of the Tapo is brighter than the cool. I was used to the opposite with the Sonoff, where either the white had the same brightness across the spectrum or seemingly the cool was brighter.
#The white of the Tapo has a bluish tint and is much inferior to that of the Sonoff, which I appreciated after the Sonoff 'died'. (I use the cooler white for many hours, in work conditions [coding, researching])
#The Tapo has many more options regarding smartness, but it's unknown who will actually find them useful. Still, this is its strong point in the comparison. The app allows you to do much more.
e.g., one smart feature that convinced me to try the Tapo, after reading its specs, was the automatic transition from cool to warm as the day goes on. It has two modes, one that supposedly mimics the brightness and temperature of outdoor natural light and one that balances with natural light (boosts the light to have the perfect ratio... SUPPOSEDLY). These functions are completely automatic, I can't even increase the brightness if it's not enough for me and I couldn't stand them even for 10 minutes as a test, so... USELESS. These features are completely missing from the Sonoff, which I had set manually (like events) every two hours to a lower temperature. Unfortunately, it only has 9 such 'positions-events.'
#One smart feature where Sonoff wins is that you can set as many buttons-widgets with fully personalized settings (e.g., increase temperature). In Tapo there are only 2 widgets (regarding the bulbs), of which only 1 is customizable and the button response is very slow. (e.g., when increasing brightness, you have to wait for loading up to 2-3 seconds with each press.. Unacceptable!)
TLDR for comparison:
Sonoff +|- Tapo: Price, brightness the same, white color quality, widget
Tapo +|- Sonoff: smart options and settings
For operating time, I’ll come back in about 2+ years (I hope!) to let you know!

Σχολιάζω αφού έχω ολοκληρώσει την χρήση της.
(+) Με έβγαλε λίγο παραπάνω από 2 χρόνια με φουλ χρήση ως λάμπα γραφείου και δωματίου. Επειδή είμαι βραδινός τύπος, πολλές μέρες μπορεί να έκαιγε μέχρι το πρωί.
(~) Ακόμη δουλεύει το θερμό της, λευκό χρώμα. Αυτή τη στιγμή όσο πιο ψυχρό το πας, σβήνει σταδιακά, τα RGB ούτε καν. Πριν από αυτό, για 2-3 εβδομάδες τρεμόπαιζε σαν να είσαι σε ρειβ με πολύ γρήγορο ρυθμό και έπρεπε να την ανοιγοκλείσεις 2-3 φορές ή να την ανεβάσεις σιγά από το θερμό. Αυτά δεν τα βάζω ως αρνητικά, απλά ως ένδειξη του πως με άφησε σιγά σιγά στα τελευταία της.
(-) Τα RGB της έχουν πολύ χαμηλή φωτεινότητα!
(~) Τα smart χαρακτηριστικά της πολύ μέτρια αλλά λειτουργικά!
Τώρα μια σύγκριση με την διάδοχό της την οποία έχω μία βδομάδα περίπου, [Τapo L535E, 1055lm, περίπου 30% τιμή πάνω]:
#Παρότι η Tapo έχει 70 lumens παραπάνω (1055 vs 806) μου προκάλεσε έκπληξη του πόσο δεν έκανε διαφορά. Παίζει να είχα συνηθίσει και σε χαμηλότερη φωτεινότητα όσο τα έφτεινε η Sonoff και νόμιζα ότι θα φωτίσει με το Άγιο Φως η καινούρια και απογοητεύτηκα. Τώρα δεν έχω ψαχτεί πολύ με τη φωτεινότητα και μπορεί τα 70lm να μην προσδίδουν μεγάλη διαφορά, κοιτάχτε το. (edit: το έψαξα λίγο και όντως δεν είναι ουσιαστική διαφορά για το γυμνό μάτι, ειδικά αν δεν τα βάλεις δίπλα δίπλα για τη σύγκριση. Επίσης παίζουν και άλλα χαρακτηριστικά που επηρεάζουν το perceived luminocity, πχ. το πως διασπείρονται ή συγκεντρώνονται οι ακτίνες, οπότε είναι κάπως απλοϊκό το να συγκρίνεις μπακάλικα με βάση τα lm)
Επίσης παρατηρώ το θερμό, λευκό της(Τapo) να είναι πιο φωτεινό από το ψυχρό. Το αντίθετο είχα συνηθήσει στην Sonoff, που είτε το λευκό έχει την ίδια φωτεινότητα σε όλο το φάσμα, είτε φαινομενικά το ψυχρό είναι πιο φωτεινό.
#Το λευκό της Tapo μπλεδίζει και είναι πολύ κατώτερο από αυτό της Sonoff, είναι κάτι που εκτίμησα μετά θάνατον (της Sonoff). (αρκετές ώρες χρησιμοποιώ το ψυχρότερο λευκό, σε συνθήκες εργασίας [coding, researching])
#H Τapo έχει πολύ περισσότερες επιλογές όσον αφορά το smartness, απλά άγνωστο σε ποιον είναι πραγματικά χρήσιμες. Πάντως αυτό είναι το δυνατό της σημείο στη σύγκριση. To app σου επιτρέπει να κάνεις πολύ περισσότερα.
πχ. μια smart λειτουργία που με έπεισε να δοκιμάσω την Tapo, διαβάζοντας στα χαρακτηριστικά της ήταν η αυτόματη κύλιση από ψυχρό σε θερμό όσο περνάει η μέρα. Έχει δυο modes, ένα που μιμείται (και καλά) τη φωτεινότητα και την θερμοκρασία του εξωτερικού φυσικού φωτός και μία που κάνει εξισορρόπιση με το φυσικό φως (ενισχύει το φως για να έχεις την τέλεια αναλογία... ΚΑΙ ΚΑΛΑ). Αυτές οι λειτουργίες είναι τελείως αυτόματες, δεν μπορώ καν να ανεβάσω τη φωτεινότητα αν δεν μου αρκεί και δεν τις άντεξα ούτε δοκιμαστικά για 10 λεπτά, οπότε.. ΑΧΡΗΣΤΕΣ. Αυτές οι λειτουργίες λείπουν εντελώς από τη Sonoff, την οποία είχα ρυθμίσει χειροκίνητα (τυπου events) κάθε δυο ώρες σε πιο χαμηλή θερμοκρασία. Δυστυχώς έχει μόνο 9 τέτοιες "θέσεις-events".
#Ένα smart χαρακτηριστικό, στο οποίο νικάει η Sonoff είναι ότι μπορείς να ρυθμίσεις όσα κουμπιά-widgets με απολυτα εξατομικευμένες ρυθμίσεις (πχ. ανέβασμα θερμοκρασίας). Στην Tapo υπάρχουν μόνο 2 widgets(όσον αφορά τις λάμπες), από τα οποία μόνο το 1 είναι παραμετροποιήσιμο και η απόκριση των κουμπιών είναι πολύ χαμηλή. (πχ. ανεβάζοντας την φωτεινότητα πρέπει σε κάθε πάτημα να περιμένεις το loading μέχρι και 2-3 δεύτερα.. Απαράδεκτο!)
ΤLDR για σύγκριση:
Sonoff +|- Tapo: Τιμή, φωτεινότητα ίδια, ποιότητα λευκού χρώματος, widget
Τapo +|- Sonoff: smart επιλογές και ρυθμίσεις
Για χρόνο λειτουργίας, θα γυρίσω σε κανένα 2χρονάκι+ (ελπίζω!) να σας τα πω!
