The novel "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" is perhaps Jules Verne's most famous work, and also the most beloved by both young and old.

One could argue that the ever-relevant Verne offers us a work of science fiction – a precursor to everything written by authors of subsequent generations. At the same time, however, it is a novel with vivid characters, intense passions, and strong conflicts.
