Description

Description

The Kingston Fury Beast DDR5 RAM is aimed at demanding computer users, such as gamers, professionals in video and image editing, designers, and those who require high performance from their computer.

DDR5

DDR5 is the fifth generation of RAM technology for computers. It replaces DDR4 and offers increased speeds and capacity.

It offers operating speeds from 3200MT/s to 12600MT/s, latency (CAS Latency) from CL 28 to CL 48, while its capacity has increased up to 64GB per memory unit.

For speed (MT/s) and capacity (GB), the larger size we choose, the better performance we will have in our system, while for latency (CL), we want the smallest size for the speed (MT/s) we have chosen.

The above characteristics should be compatible with the specifications of our motherboard.

The Kingston Fury Beast DDR5 provides speed at 6000MT/s, with CL40 and 8GB per memory unit.

Compatibility

DDR5 technology is compatible with specific motherboards and processors. Indicatively, DDR5 is compatible with Alder Lake, Raptor Lake, and the latest Intel processors, as well as AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors.

However, for compatibility with your motherboard, you need to ensure that your motherboard supports DDR5 technology from the manufacturer. Compatibility depends on the processor platform and the type of motherboard you are using.

XMP & EXPO

XMP & EXPO is a technology that allows us to increase the frequency and performance of our computer's memory without the need for manual adjustments. (XMP/EXPO) is easily activated from the BIOS, is available on certain RAM modules, and is supported by certain motherboards.

The Kingston Fury Beast DDR5 has (XMP 3.0/EXPO) profiles with performances:

  • Speed (XMP 3.0/EXPO): 6000 MT/s
  • CAS Latency (XMP 3.0/EXPO): 40-40-40
  • Voltage (XMP 3.0/EXPO): 1.35V

Cooling & Design

The aluminum construction material combined with the memory height of 34.9mm, which is an ideal size to accommodate large CPU coolers, helps to keep the memory and the entire computer at a fairly low temperature even during the most demanding operations.

  • Very good price for the performance, as soon as I activated the XMP to reach the speeds it promises, there was no problem and it responds perfectly. Full value for money

  • Excellent RAM as they also have the EXPO/XMP function for maximum RAM speeds. I highly recommend them.

  • It is low profile RAM, good speed and moderate timings. It could be CL 36 instead of CL 40, but there is not a big difference. I bought it for 120 and now I see it on sale for 90, so I might get another one to fill all the RAM slots (Dual channel will remain, there is no quad channel on the motherboards we buy). Overall, 10/10 for their price
