It has a yellow-orange color and a sweet, slightly citrusy scent. It is used in Chinese medicine for calming the mind and relaxing the body.

It combines well with nutmeg, lemon, bergamot, lemon verbena, orange, and grapefruit. It has relaxing and soothing properties and may improve the duration and quality of sleep.

Known as a digestive tonic, it combats dyspepsia, gastralgia, aerophagia, and bloating. It has antioxidant properties and helps combat aging problems.
