Description

Titan

In the ELCO TITAN electric water heater, the steel boiler is internally covered with TITAN glass coating of new technology. This material is extremely durable with up to 100% longer device lifespan, while it has almost no pores, making it immune to any microorganisms and bacteria. Additionally, thanks to the special enameling method using vacuum technology, which is exclusively applied by ELCO, the boiler is fully and uniformly protected.

Result: The boiler is completely protected from corrosion.

Magnesium Anodes

The dual magnesium anodes produced by ELCO for the ELCO TITAN water heaters, in a quantity multiple times greater than the standard and double that required by regulations, ensure complete protection of the boiler from electrolysis.

Electric Water Heater Safety

The ELCO TITAN water heaters feature not only a safety thermostat but also a special thermal electric safety, so that the boiler is protected doubly from overheating.

Safety Valve

The special safety valve of ELCO TITAN water heaters provides absolute protection against overpressure.

Temperature Controller

The ELCO TITAN water heater with an external temperature controller allows you to always have 4 seasons water in your bathroom. You can adjust the water temperature according to the season and your needs, saving up to 50% on energy consumption.

Polyurethane Insulation

The enhanced insulation of eco-friendly polyurethane with a minimum thickness of 25mm and a density of 40krg/m3, injected with a special method applied only by ELCO, covers every part of the water heater with absolute precision.

Result: Less thermal losses to the environment, saving energy, while the water remains hot for a longer period of time.

Capacity

Based on the capacity in liters, it can meet all the needs of a small family of 3 people and the water is heated in almost an hour.

Installation

The water heater can be installed horizontally on a wall. Horizontal installation provides easy maintenance, but care must be taken when installing the base on the wall.

Water Heater vs Electric Boiler

The electric water heater operates using electric energy, where the resistance inside the water heater is heated and thus the water is heated.

On the other hand, the electric boiler, in addition to heating the water through electric energy, has an internal heat exchanger (coil) with the ability to connect to the central heating system, to assist in the production of hot water. This limits the use of electric energy.

This means that once connected, the hot water it produces, for example, the oil boiler, heats not only the heating bodies but also the water in the water heater, thus promoting savings during the winter months.

I have bought and installed dozens of TITANs since they came out on the market, so whatever you knew about TITANs, forget it, after 2017-2018 they are identical to the regular ELCO, only the color changes. Same metal, same enamel, same resistance, same weight... exactly the same!

Unfortunately, although it is expensive and comes from ELCO (which was once a quality company), within 6 years it developed holes/rot and leaked out all the water (80 liters), wetting all its electrical components, while water leaks with rust appeared from its "seam". It is now fit for throwing away, despite the supposed 10-year warranty. Usage: by a three-member family in a 105 sqm apartment with no requirement for a large or continuous supply of hot water, only for the sink, shower, and toilet. Obviously, either intentionally the construction and materials do not meet the advertised specifications of the water heater, or the once almost monopolistic ELCO-Vagiwnis (household name, as some say) is now a shadow of its former self. What a pity...

I had bought a water heater from Elco 17 years ago... The water heater is still holding up!!!
I made the change and bought the Elco Titan 80L...
The first pleasant surprise is the speed at which it heats the water (I had set it at 75 degrees).
The second surprise is that the next day I still had hot water!!!!
The installation was very easy (I bought a water heater for the attic)!!!

Don't mess with the company's service, I woke up in the middle of the night from an uncontrollable leak from the faucet, the water was flooding the thermostat, the disgusting thing falls, go down from the attic without lights, of course, these things happen. At 8:00, I immediately called the service to assist me, oh no! In the whole of Athens, and with water leakage as their business, the company serves the southern suburbs one day, the northern suburbs the next, don't waste your saliva, no matter how much you beg them. Neither the two children who won't be able to take a bath, nor the quality you thought you bought to avoid such problems. It's better to buy two buckets to have for replacements.

Quality, reliability, fast hot water from Greek hands that show the way to both famous and non-famous manufacturers. I had a DUROGLASS since 1998 and without any maintenance, suddenly in 2016 it started to leak! I bought the TITAN for 137 euros as a thank you to ELCO VAGIONIS S.A. and we will meet again in 25 years, probably from paradise, with my eyes closed
