I wanted to put it inside a closed cabinet/storage to organize the wines so that they wouldn't be stacked on top of each other. Since it would be in a closed cabinet, I wasn't too concerned about the appearance. Yes, it is plastic, and if it were for a place where people would see it, a wooden one might have been more presentable; however, for the job I wanted it for, it covered my needs 100%. What I wanted to do, I did just fine, and I finally organized the cabinet I have for storage. The plastic is quite hard and sturdy, the joints are flush but require a bit of technique to fit. It's not as simple as building with Lego. For me, some flush joints needed force, and generally, you have to find the right way for them to fit. After assembling it, you also need to give it a little tap from above so that the joints fit well and the whole structure aligns and reaches the correct height. It covered my needs 100%, and that's why I give it 4 stars, but if I wanted it for a space where people would see it, visitors, etc., as I mentioned before, I might choose something else.
