The ED-3 device is a wall-mounted voltage controller (dimmer) 230V a.c./50Hz, for controlling asynchronous single-phase motors, operating in a range of approximately 50-100% of nominal speed, as is the case with motors in ventilation systems.

Therefore, it is necessary to control the lower speeds of the electric motor to avoid overheating and consequently its destruction.

It features a potentiometer for adjusting the speed to the user's desired point, from a lower preset limit to the maximum.

The lower speed limit is adjusted with the trimmer that the device has, as follows:

With the speed adjustment knob turned to the minimum, we adjust the trimmer for minimum speed with the help of a small screwdriver, turning it to the right, so that the motor rotates satisfactorily without having a problem starting. Now the dimmer adjusts the motor speed from the lower speed limit to the maximum.

The device also has an ON OFF switch for activating and deactivating the load.
