If I could give a minus 1, I would. My daughter just started having a simple cough and I gave her the syrup to try and prevent it. It has a strong anise flavor, like drinking sambuca. It helps to drink it without water, I believe it works better on the throat. I don't know about cough, but it does help with sore throat, although I don't think it's for severe symptoms. In that case, prefer something stronger.

It has a perfect taste, like ouzo candies. I haven't tried it for a serious sore throat or cough, but it helped me with a mild irritation!
