Observations from use:
I did not notice a significant difference in the drying time or performance of the clothes.
Nevertheless, it seems they help reduce hair on clothes, possibly by facilitating airflow inside the drum due to their volume.
I do not consider it an essential product, but it is a useful addition for those who want a little extra help with lint/hair, especially in homes with pets.
For use in a washing machine:
I did not try them in a wash. Personally, for the washing machine, I prefer the classic color catchers, which I consider more effective.
